In the opening of the Bundesliga, 2013-14 and 2014-15 champions Bayern Munich crushed Hamburg by a score of 5-0. Pep Guardiola’s team was dominant from start to finish and the score reflected it.
Hamburg has been dominated in recent visits to the Allianz Arena and their strategy was to have a solid defense, that lasted a little over 25 minutes. A free kick from Xabi Alonso saw Medhi Benatia elevate and headed the ball in.
Summer signing Douglas Costa got the Allianz Arena on their feet with a beautiful play on the right side of the pitch, finished with a cross to Thomas Müller who would capitalize to make it 3-0. Only five minutes later, Müller would mark his second goal of the game, a pass from Lewandowski was enough for the german to hit a strike to the back of the net.
To put the icing on the cake, brazilian Douglas Costa would appear once again, this time with a wonderful left footed strike from outside the box. Bayern is looking to win the Bundesliga for a third consecutive time.
