Dortmund, at the lead of their new manager Thomas Tuchel who substitutes the emblematic Jürgen Klopp, began their road in the Bundesliga 2015-16 with a convincing victory at Signal Iduna Park over a team that finished third last season and classified for the UEFA Champions League 2015-16.
Borussia Dortmund would apparently get ahead after the first seven minutes, when Henrikh Mkhitaryan took a shot and scored, but it was ruled offside. Seven minutes later, Marco Reus would take a shot inside the box and would not miss, Shinji Kagawa would provide the assist. Only a few minutes later, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang headed in a cross from Marcel Schemlzer and Dortmund doubled their lead.
Ten minutes later, Ilkay Gündogan would give a through pass to Aubameyang who would run it down with his incredible pace allowed him to get in the box and give a pass to Mkhitaryan, who would not miss. After only five minutes of the second half, Mkhitaryan would obtain his brace, Marco Reus would give a low pass to the Armenian who would finish with a powerful shot.
