Bruno Mars might have just received the biggest request on his music career. The NFL is asking for Mars to play for their Super Bowl halftime show. Again! This is for their 50th, their golden anniversary.

Via EW.comBruno Mars has been offered the headliner spot for the Super Bowl 50 halftime show in Santa Clara, Calif., according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

This segment of the Super Bowl has made and break careers. From Presto, Elvis Presley‘s impersonator, in 1989 to the Blues Brothers in 1997 until the disaster from M.I.A. in 2012, the Super Bowl halftime show gave them a good tackle for sure.

Although, some artists did it very right, making it such an awaited event. Sometimes, it is even bigger than the game. The King of Pop, Michael Jackson showed why he is the king in 1993. Prince making a really effective comeback in 2007 and Queen B, Beyoncé, in 2013 where a Destiny’s Child reunion happened. None of us were ready for that jelly. Of course, the Super Bowl halftime show probably made the biggest career of all time last February 2015 with Katy Perry‘s Left Shark.

Okay, back to Mars. His show in 2014 garnered 115 million viewers, making it one of the biggest halftime shows in Super Bowl history. NFL Director for Media Events Sarah Moll admitted that landing Bruno Mars last 2014 was her biggest accomplishment. So doing this the second time, if he agrees, would probably send her career at an all time high.

What Super Bowl is asking Bruno Mars to do is huge for both parties. Uptown Funk was a huge hit, and still is, so having this with a huge production would literally set the whole place into a gold glitter bomb.

At the moment, Mars’ representatives have not commented on the invite. But still, all we need to do is wait. And hope. And cross our fingers.
