Disney and Marvel announce new release dates for upcoming films

Disney and Marvel have announced today the release dates for some of their most anticipated upcoming movies.

On the Marvel side, the release date and name for the Ant-Man sequel has been revealed. Ant-Man and The Wasp has a release date set for July 6, 2018. The release date has caused Marvel to shift the dates for two of their other releases, with Black Panther moving up to February 16, 2018, and Captain Marvel moving back to March 18, 2019.

Disney Animation Studios and Pixar have also revealed the release dates for The Incredibles 2, Cars 3, and a new date for Toy Story 4. Cars 3 arrives on June 16, 2017, and The Incredibles 2 will be released on June 21, 2019. The fourth installment of the Toy Story series will be released on June 15, 2018.

With the inclusion of The Wasp’s name in the Ant-Man sequel, Marvel makes history for including the name of a heroine in a hero movie.

Disney is also celebrating having crossed the $4 Billion mark at the box office. With the new release dates, Disney, and its subsidiaries have a slew of movies coming out through 2020.
