Steph Curry Is Almost Superhuman

The Golden State Warriors have begun this first week of the NBA season undefeated, with an 112-108 victory over the LA Clippers. The Warriors are now 5-0 and have come out this season with a bold statement, that last year wasn’t a fluke. After the victory today Stephen Curry simply said, “We’re better than last year“. One reason for the Warriors back to back season success is because of last year’s MVP Steph Curry.

After a 67 win season last year this team wasn’t meant to get better, but they have risen to another level, and Curry has gone from good to great. In just the first 4 games of the season, Curry has been beyond impressive, scoring more points through the first four games than anyone since Michael Jordan. He has also done this in 127 minutes on 84 shots. It seems any shot he takes seems to fall. When asked about what he thinks of this phenomenal start he said, “We know that we’re capable of being a better team than we were last year. We have so much potential in here and so much talent that we don’t want to waste it.”

Curry has already turned heads with the bookies also, as he started at $4 favourite to be these year’s MVP, and within 5 games his odds have now dropped to $3.10. Curry is currently leading the league in scoring averaging a massive 37.0 points per game. In his first four games, Curry has put up a 21 point quarter, a 24 point quarter and a 28 point quarter, his circus-show ball handling and contested 28-foot bombs never once compromising an efficiency that seemingly defies logic. Shooting a shade under 60 percent from the field and 50 percent from down town for an absurd .720 effective field goal percentage.

With Steph Curry becoming an unstoppable assassin I have my money on this kid for MVP already, and as long as he continues to play like this Golden State are going to be a front runner to take the championship. Curry has definitely cemented himself as the greatest shooter to ever play the game. With only 5 games in, we can all agree that it’ll be exciting to see what else he can bring to the table.
