Justin Upton and the Detroit Tigers have reached a reported 6 year, $132.75 million dollar deal with the opportunity of an opt-out for Upton after the second season.

According to Bob Nightingale, Upton will become the third highest paid free agent non-pitcher in this upcoming season, behind Jason Heyward and Chris Davis.

This deal will also cost the Tigers their third pick in the upcoming draft, with the first (ninth overall) being a protected pick and the second being lost with the signing of Jordan Zimmerman.

This also makes the expected Tigers starting lineup entirely right-handed, except for the switch-hitting Martin.
