Oliver Queen set to appear on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

Did you ever want to see what Stephen Amell‘s Green Arrow would look like with the iconic beard from the comics? Well in four weeks, you’ll get the opportunity!

Oh. He’ll have one arm too, by the way.

A few days ago, Amell posted a video on his Facebook page stating that he would be appearing on Episode 106 of Legends of Tomorrow sporting his iconic goatee and only having one arm, much like he did in Dark Knight Returns. You can see the video HERE.

What we also learned is that we will finally be meeting Oliver’s son, Connor Hawke, who also operated as the second Green Arrow. Here is what executive producer Marc Guggenheim had to say about the upcoming episode:

“Every once and a while, we do an episode where the 10-year-old me has to pinch himself. We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow. As an added bonus to comic-book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”

Oliver Queen joins Damien Darkh as the next character from Arrow to be joining Legends of Tomorrow. In future episodes, we’re expecting the time traveling team to encounter Arrow‘s Ra’s al Ghul, as well as The Flash‘s Cisco and possibly even Barry Allen. Legends of Tomorrow follows a team of somewhat-heroes and villains as they travel through time with Rip Hutner in order to stop the evil Vandal Savage.

While waiting for the episode to air, we can sit here and wonder if a one-armed Oliver Queen will still be in a relationship with his salmon ladder Felicity in the year 2046.

Legends of Tomorrow airs every Thursday at 8 PM EST on the CW.
