Record producer Alex Da Kidd has created yet another gold certified masterpiece. Probably one of the best produced albums I’ve heard this year. Alex Da Kidd who is responsible for hits such as Eminem’s “Love The Way You Lie”, Dr Dre’s “I Need A Doctor” and Diddy’s “Coming Home”, along with successful artists such as Skylar Grey, Jamie N Commons, just to name a few now has another group and album to put onto his mantelpiece.
X Ambassadors have released a deluxe version of their gold certified debut album “VHS”. Entitled “VHS 2.0” it features five additional tracks including two newly recorded songs. This Alternative American rock group which consists of Sam Harris (lead vocals, guitar, saxophone), Casey Harris (keyboard), Noah Feldshuh (guitar) and Adam Levin (drums). Sam and Casey Harris are brothers, and have been friends with Feldshuh since kindergarten in Ithaca. Believe it or not Casey Harris has been blind since birth.
Their debut album “VHS” was released in 2015, and now a year later comes the deluxe version “VHS 2.0”. The album includes a remix of “Low Life” featuring Jamie N Commons, and A$AP Ferg and an acoustic version of the glorious “Gorgeous (Live-Upstate Sessions)”. The previously unreleased, but highly synched, song “Eye of the Storm” rounds out the set.
Their debut album “VHS” was released in June 2015 under Interscope/KIDinaKORNER and debuted at number 7 on the Billboard charts, and has since been certified gold by the RIAA. The album features the #1 Alternative radio song “Renegades” and the new single “Unsteady” is currently climbing the radio charts and an orchestral mix of the song is featured in the new feature film and soundtrack for “Me Before You”. “VHS” without a doubt is the best alternative rock album I have heard in over a year, and combined with the heavy hip hop beats like only Alex Da Kidd can add, it gives it so much more quality to the sound. This album definitely showcases just why Alex Da Kidd is a grammy award winning producer.
