The Grammy nominated singer/songwriter just dropped a major release and it’s hot called “You” which features rappers Remy Ma and French Montana. The singer was once married to ex NBA basketballer Daniel Gibson, and now the divorce is over she’s now focused purely on her music and her son.

And I’m not looking for any kind of substitute — another man, or alcohol — to help the healing or mask the pain I’ve been experiencing. I stopped drinking seven months ago, which is purifying my vocals. And” — she concludes with a laugh — “there’s been no sex either.” Now refocused on her music Cole has gone to some talented writers to help make this new album for her including the likes of Sam Hook, Eric Bellinger and Verse Simmonds to name a few. “I’m trying to put everything into this album,” says Cole. “This is serious music; not something to just throw out there.”

When talking about her new album slated for release this year, she says she will be working with the likes of rappers Tyga, and Young Thug, as well as hip hop producer DJ Khaled. “I was able to work with a bunch of people that I love hanging with and love genuinely, so it’s been an awesome project.” Coles explains.
