Tough news for the Pittsburgh Steelers to swallow after the Hall of Fame game yesterday, as kicker Shaun Suisham‘s MRI showed what everyone feared, a torn ACL. Suisham left the game vs the Minnesota Vikings with a left knee injury after making a tackle on the second-half opening kickoff.

Suisham, one of the most accurate kickers in the NFL, made 90.6% (29/32) of his field goal attempts last season, and 93.8% (30/32) of his attempts in 2013.
Most teams carry 2 kickers during the Preseason and release one before the regular season, even if there is no true competition at the position. The Steelers, though, will likely sign a free agent in the coming days, as Suisham is the only kicker on their 90-man roster.
