RUNWAY: Chanel Spring/Summer 2016 Ready-To-Wear Collection

Coco Chanel is a household name in fashion. It has set trends and shared the wisest words from experience. This year, for their final bang of the runway season, they took things to flight. Partially literal.

The fashion house drew inspiration from the jet-setting modern woman. Playing around pinks and purples, the vintage silhouettes has met its modern match.

They stuck with their inspiration and chose a venue very fitting for their direction. The runway show was held in a mock airport, taking a bit of an airline chic to RTW fashion. Yes, the Grand Palais was transformed by Lagerfield and friends to a Chanel airport where the guests had the whole airport feel from the moment they entered.

The show was opened with a glamorous and commanding entrance by Edie Campbell in a colorful and shiny silver ensemble.

The show had front row attendees that were literally on another level. According to Vogue, Cara Delevingne, St. Vincent and Lily-Rose Depp were present.

Personally, this collection is one of my favorites this season as it oozed femininity with poise. Edie Campbell came out like the real Unicorn from Robot Unicorn Attack and it was wonderful. Expect to see the trends Chanel has sent down the runway like backward baseball caps, headbands, Lit Up Velcro Sandals and a Micro-Size Luggage Bag.
