“Our songs have always been reflection of what we are going through in life at that time. We’ve found that the easiest way to come up with song ideas its just to write exactly what we are experiencing or feeling, then try to make it sound poetic haha. Its the most honest we can be. ‘lost’ is very much a continuation of this. There aren’t as many pure breakup songs on the EP because that’s no longer a reality in our lives. A lot of these songs explore diving into new love, because that is something Emma is grappling with. I guess when it comes to Loote we don’t really know how to write about something other than our personal lives haha,” shared Loote.
Pop duo Loote (comprised of Emma Lov and Jackson Foote) have finally released their highly anticipated EP lost featuring the hit singles “tomorrow tonight” and “85%” ft. gnash. Their new EP is extremely personal and explores the subject of a new love, because that is something Emma recently experienced. Loote finds it easiest to write songs based on their own real-life experiences. There aren’t as many pure breakup songs on the EP because that’s no longer a reality in their lives.
“Lost” is full of neon production and artful instrumentation, it’s almost the perfect blend. The duo co-exist perfectly from their incredible musical productions, to their insightful gifted story telling, since they were first united by a professor at SUNY Purchase College. Emma Lov and Jackson Foote are two kindred spirits that have quietly positioned themselves as pop royalty.
