Loren Allred is multi-platinum selling recording artist, singer and songwriter. Dutch musician and visual artist Young & Sick has released his new album BROTHER via B3SCI Records. The album is available for streaming everywhere now here + listen to new single “BROTHER” here. BROTHER came out of self-imposed isolation – written and recorded in a Vermont cabin with Luke Woods, Young & Sick’s bandmate and longtime music director. Woods’ near-death experience served as a catalyst for the themes BROTHER explores, as Young & Sick contemplates the transiency of life and navigates the process of healing. A testament to the duo’s sonic versatility, BROTHER guides us on an enchanting journey, fusing operatics with electronic flourishes; impressionist-era orchestration alongside modern psychedelia.

“We made BROTHER in the summer of 2019. Nick had just moved back east after a few years of slow-rambling around Los Angeles, and Luke was convalescing after a nasty bit of blunt force trauma and septic shock.

New York City-based alternative hip-hop band Oxymorrons have dropped their highly anticipated and astoundingly innovative Mohawks & Durags EP. The project was released via Jason Aalon Butler’s (Fever 333 / Pressure Cracks / Letlive) artist collective 333 Wreckords Crew and features fan favorite tracks including anti-racism warcry “Justice”, the braggadocious banger “Green Vision”, and the band’s tribute to 90’s hip-hop and rock “Django”.
Building off the foundation they laid with their ‘Complex But Basic’ EP, Oxymorrons hit the studio with a mission to turn up the dial on their masterful genre-blending and create a project that truly represented their sound. When asked how ‘Mohawks & Durags’ compares to ‘Complex But Basic’, the band explained, “Both projects relate in the aspect of two different worlds / ideas coming together to make a beautiful bond. What you’re going to see is growth, a lot of edge and big heavy moments in the project. Mohawks and Durags will definitely give you a peek on what it’s like being New York City kids making rock music.”
To effectively capture that sound the band tapped the musical expertise of producers John Feldmann (Mod Sun, The Used, Blink-182), Zach Jones (Chelsea Grin, Dance Gavin Dance, As It Is), Marc Orell (Dropkick Murphys), Jason Aalon Butler, and The Hustle Standard. They had to get extra creative in order to bring the project to life during a global pandemic, doing what they could virtually after the initial sessions were halted due to Covid; until it was safe to make a quick trip back to LA to finish out the recording.
The guys observed, “What was happening around us definitely influenced what we had to say and how we wanted to capture and record that energy. During those trips Jason and Zach and the rest of the team really helped us sharpen our skills and hone in on exactly what our sound is… and the result is Mohawks & Durags.”

“Besito” is a track that features BIA’s signature sound and distinctive voice, with her usual girl empowerment theme, encouraging her female listeners to think they’re all that because they are, as she exposes her accomplishments to inspire girls and women while motivating them to never settle.
This time around, BIA opted to give us a deeper look into her universe as an Afro-Puerto Rican and Italian artist raised in Massachusetts switching from Spanish to English with sharp and witty verses in a new, contemporary hip-hop style that reflects how global her music is.
Meanwhile, in the music video, directed by Nigerian-born, British director Daps, we see BIA basking in Puerto Rico, the land of her grandparents, interacting with the people, embracing the culture, and enjoying the idyllic beaches, while looking strong and confident, aligned with the message of “Besito.”
“Besito” featuring G Herbo comes after “Whole Lotta Money Remix” featuring Nicki Minaj. The remix, which has garnered 18 million views on YouTube, came to be after Minaj fell in love with BIA’s “fresh” hip-hop and wanted to jump on the track. The original song became a viral sensation thanks to TikTok with over 275,000 streams on the platform and attracting star support from Cardi B, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and many more.
Premiering today is also the Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3 where BIA is one of Rihanna’s special guests performing at the event. custie is an emerging alternative pop artist hailing from London, Ontario. His distinct sound explores what those who have praised his music describe as genre-blurring pop. custie accredits his knack for musical exploration to influences such as Frank Ocean, Prince, King Krule, The Beatles and D’Angelo.
custie has spent the past three and a half years developing his musicality and songwriting, as well as putting out short albums and performing. An artist at heart who has explored creative mediums his entire life, custie finally decided he would try his hand at music at 13 years of age.
In the beginning, he uploaded ambient instrumental music to his YouTube channel “Ci3 Music,” amassing over 21,000 views. He went by this moniker for three years, eventually releasing various short projects with his own vocals, including “MISSION 3.” More recently, he put on his first show at which he headlined, at the Rec Room Masonville in his native London, selling the venue out.
In 2021, he won the Forest City London Music Awards’ Youth Award for winning the High School Battle of the Bands competition. At 18 years old, custie continues to develop his songwriting, instrument playing, and continues to try and push his boundaries musically, as well as expanding his name locally.
