From Warner Bros. Pictures comes Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” starring Robert Pattinson in the dual role of Gotham City’s vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionaire Bruce Wayne.
Starring alongside Pattinson, as Gotham’s famous and infamous cast of characters are Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton; Jeffrey Wright as the GCPD’s James Gordon; John Turturro as Carmine Falcone; Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham D.A. Gil Colson; Jayme Lawson as mayoral candidate Bella Reál; with Andy Serkis as Alfred; and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot. Matt Reeves directed from a screenplay by Reeves & Peter Craig, based on characters from DC.
The second trailer for Robert Pattinson’s upcoming caped crusader film debuted during online fan event DC Fandome this morning, and it’s packed with teases of what to expect when the film finally hits cinemas in March. The trailer also reveals more of Colin Farrell’s Penguin, as well as Zoe Kravitz’s Catwoman. There are also tastes of the explosions and car chases and lots of slow-motion action sequences. Ben Affleck was originally to star in, write and direct The Batman when he put on the suit for Batman vs. Superman, he stepped away from the project not long after. After Affleck’s exit, The Batman was reconfigured to tell the story of a younger Bruce Wayne who had yet to be a fully formed fighter and compromised hero.
