Trailer: Apple TV’s Dark Comedy Anthology Series ‘Roar’

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for it’s brand new dark comedy series called ‘Roar’. It features an all-star cast including Nicole Kidman, Cynthia Erivo, Issa Rae, and more. It is scheduled to make its debut on Friday, April 15.

In the preview we see glimpses of the 8 part anthology series, which explores unique stories about a woman eating photos, a woman who gets infatuated with a duck, a ghost of a woman who solves her own murder, and many more crazy things.

“The series offers an insightful, poignant, and sometimes hilarious portrait of what it means to be a woman today,” reads the synopsis. “Featuring a unique blend of magical realism, familiar domestic and professional scenarios, and futuristic worlds, these eight stories mirror the dilemmas of ordinary women in accessible yet surprising ways. How they emerge from their respective journeys speaks to the resiliency that exists within themselves, and with all women.”

Starring in the series alongside Nicole Kidman is Cynthia Erivo, Issa Rae, Merritt Wever, Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, and Meera Syal along with Fivel Stewart and Kara Hayward. Additional cast includes Daniel Dae Kim, Nick Kroll, Jake Johnson, Hugh Dancy, and Simon Baker.
