HBO Max ‘IT’ Prequel Series ‘Welcome To Derry’ Is In Development

Variety reports that an ‘IT’ prequel series is in the works from HBO Max. The series, which is currently called ‘Welcome to Derry’, will reportedly focus on the town of Derry in the 1960s as it leads up to the events of the famous horror film ‘IT’, which is based on the classic Stephen King novel. The series will delve into the origin story of Pennywise The Clown. Andy Muschietti, who directed both IT films from 2017, will serve as executive producer for the series alongside Barbara Muschietti, his sister, and Jason Fuchs.
