Netflix has acquired the rights to the film adaptation of Simon Stålenhag’s graphic novel titled The Electric State, which will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo of ‘Avengers: End Game’. Set to star in a leading role is Millie Bobby Brown, and production is set to begin this year.
This marks the Russo Brothers’ latest collaboration with the streamer ahead of the long-awaited debut of their upcoming global spy thriller The Gray Man, starring Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling.
“Set in a retro-futuristic past, it follows an orphaned teen (Brown) as she traverses the American West with a robot and an eccentric drifter in search of her younger brother,” reads the plot.
