Back with another ironic spin on retro-infused pop, British duo push baby return with the unforgettable new single “Every Time I Think About You Baby, I Hate It, You Blow My Mind” – taken from their forthcoming new album.
Following on from a recent, major slot supporting McFly at The Wyldes, this final single from their upcoming sophomore album further demonstrates their multi-dimensional approach with this maximalist release – a stark contrast to the soft-grunge stylings of previous single “Circles”. Making saturated pop for a modern audience, a trademark mix of soft interludes and punching back beats borrow into the nostalgia push baby unashamedly love to explore, whilst stamping in their own edge. Taking pride in having fun with music making, push baby’s experimental sound continues to define them as rising figures in the renaissance of larger than life pop.
Accompanying the Max Martin styled single with an equally sensationalistic and imaginative music video, push baby dive headfirst into the MTV golden age complete with a slick dance breakdown. Taking hyper-stylised 2000s computer aesthetics and matching them with the band’s signature tongue-in-cheek humour, any snapshot of the fun-loving footage would be at home on the pages of a late ‘90s issue of Smash Hits.
Speaking about the release, push baby made the following statement: “Every time I think about you baby, I hate it, you blow my mind’ comes from a deep dive into the works of Swedish producer/writers Max Martin and Denniz Pop. It was that late 90’s pop culture shift push baby were fascinated by and wanted to explore what it would sound and feel like if they were around making that sort of music in that time. A millennial throwback with a current twist – push baby give a pop obnoxious nod to the songwriting giants before them.”
Singer-songwriter LOUIS COUPE releases the sleek and sentimental new track: “Hannah’s Got A Way” (via Leafy Outlook).

A bittersweet take on ill-fated relationships, the new cut showcases Louis’ flair for mature and meticulous songwriting at its best. Setting his frank and cynical approach to life against honest and vulnerable bare-all lyricism, “Hannah’s Got A Way” feels comforting and calamitous all at once: reminiscent of those relationships we know aren’t quite right, yet just can’t seem to let go of.
Discussing the new track, Louis Coupe explains:
“I guess the song’s like a broken-hearted love song; you just don’t know it yet. I think I wrote it to convince myself that we were in love and that we were compatible. You know that stage when you’re constantly wondering what’s going on inside the other person’s head and in the end you have to wake up to the fact it just isn’t working and you’re totally the wrong match for each other.
“We broke up and I buried the song for nearly a year. One day I found it in my notes and thought I ought to finish it off, and doing so actually gave me closure and I started to fully move on.”
Laced with dazzling vocal melodies and rhythmic piano lines, the latest from Louis Coupe is a truly captivating piano ballad for our times.
From his beginnings as an outcast in music class, Louis Coupe has forged his own innovative path through a sheer passion for music. Fashioning together a diverse and experimental, yet timelessly classic sound, the songwriter channels the timeless songbooks of the 1970s into his introspective piano-led pieces.
After receiving a surprise ticket to see Elton John at the age of 12, a young Louis became instantly obsessed with the pioneering musical greats — The Beatles, The Stones and ELO. Spending hours searching for tutorial videos online, Louis set about teaching himself any instrument he could find.
Over the next decade Louis notched-up over a thousand live shows under his belt and honed his craft the old-fashioned way, performing anywhere that would take him — from the smallest of clubs and pubs to friends’ front rooms, firework displays, cruise ships, canal boats, ice rinks, so many empty nightclubs, golf clubs, shopping centres, cricket clubs, Wolves football stadium at halftime, and many more. More recent highlights include performances at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2020 and the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
Glenn Astro and Hulk Hodn are connected through a long-lasting musical friendship. With their Detroit-inspired house releases, they gained wider recognition by critics and listeners alike. Nevertheless, they’ve never been one-dimensional artists. Berlin-based Glenn Astro‘s diversified approach to production as showcased on labels such as NinjaTune and Tartelet bridges the gaps between ambient, hip-hop, techno and bass.
Ahead of their new full-length record Ghosts via Kommerz Records on August 26th, the duo have unveiled yet another double release. Kickstarting with “Cafe Metropol” ,they incorporate a sunny jazz-meets-broken-beats instrumental, featuring multi disciplinary artist Gal Go, one of King Krule’s main collaborators on award winning album The Ooz. He plays both guitar and saxophone over Glenn Astro & Hulk Hodn’s organ to create blissful beats and rich rhythms that embellish their truly unique soundscape.
“Brappo” follows, offering a smooth but yet funky hip-hop instrumental with a shuffled drum loop and spacy synth work. Berlin-based producer Glenn Astro is known for bridging gaps between genres, creating a truly unique kaleidoscope of sound. Combined with Cologne beat maker Hulk Hodn, who continues to consolidate his sonic personality as a German underground hip-hop legend, the duo’s idiosyncratic identity makes them true trailblazers of their time.
Gathering a cult-like following through with records on Sichtexot and ENTBS and shows with rapper Retrogott, the duo develops their exploration of new aesthetics even further through synthesized soundscapes and numerous collaborations with young talent from all over the world.

Fresh on the scene rising songstress GRL BUNNY releases brand-new single “To The Grave” – her second offering following on from her debut release Michaela.
Simple 00’s inspired R&B backbeats and delicate keys lay the perfect foundation for GRL BUNNY’s heart-warming and honest lyrics. Gliding over the track the newcomer sings “I promise that your secret is safe, I’ll lock it up and throw the keys away” as she paints the story of ride or die friendship. Written in the midst of the pandemic and self-recorded in her bedroom, unlike the typical romantic love narratives we’re used to hearing “To The Grave” is an ode to BUNNY’s best girlfriends, friends that she wanted to honour through her song writing.
Continuing the beautiful tribute to her female friendships the emotive self-directed music video shows GRL BUNNY performing the track in front of blown-up images of her closest friends, interspersed with home video clips of them on nights out and even singing together. Dressed in white angelic frills GRL BUNNY’s signature 90’s Madonna esc style does not disappoint in a dress designed and handmade by one of the featured friends.
Speaking on the track GRL BUNNY says: “I’m someone that it would be fair to say has been quite unlucky when it comes to romantic love (and my friends will testify to that!) but, when it comes to friendships, and female friendships in particular, I really hit the jackpot. I wanted to celebrate the amazing women in my life in this song and make them the stars of the music video.”
Already a firm favourite behind the scenes of the industry, GRL BUNNY has spent the last decade writing for a number of up and coming artists including; FLO, AWA, Call Me Loop, Louisa Johnson and Erin Bloomer as well with an impressive list of high profile producers and co-writers including co-writer on “To The Grave” Emily Phillips (Florence + The Machine, Sigrid and John Newman) and producer of the track Grammy Award winning Wayne Wilkins (Beyonce, Natasha Bedingfield and Cheryl Cole).
21st Century electronic/prog maverick – LE CYGNE NOIR – is back with a hat-trick of brand new singles.
Releasing two previously unheard original tracks “Andrew” and “Skylights”, the trio of tracks also include an energising rework of the 1984 Thompson Twins classic “Doctor! Doctor!”, featuring remarkable guest vocals from gothic rock royalty Julie-Ann Regan (All About Eve) and Ashton Nyte (The Awakening).
Though little is known about the identity of Le Cygne Noir, in 2019 the enigmatic songwriter stepped-up to the spotlight with his acclaimed debut album ‘Shadow of a Wrecking Ball’, an album about global contagion and the end of the world way before it became the new normal…
Returning in 2022, Le Cygne Noir now presents three never before released tracks recorded around the same time as his debut, that didn’t quite fit the “zombie apocalypse” briefing.
Finding the artist in no less exuberant form, the revengeful rock acrobatics of “Andrew” snake and writhe with Moroder-esque synth oscillations and flaming guitar breaks from Tears For Fears’ own Neil Taylor. Elsewhere, “Skylights” takes a distinctly more introspective tack; a hushed, haunting and multi-harmony piano-ballad with a seventies-hue that finds a songwriter in free-fall between darkness and light, dreams and reality. Its drifting basslines come courtesy from the legendary Craig Adams (The Mission / Sisters of Mercy).
But perhaps the most extraordinary of the three is a powered-up cover of the Thompson Twins’ new wave classic “Doctor! Doctor!”, a song which originally charted at No.3 in the Official UK Singles Chart upon its release in 1984. Offering a revamped revision nearly 40 years later, Le Cygne Noir invites two Goth Rock trailblazers, Ashton Nyte of cult South African band The Awakening, and Julie-Ann Regan lead-singer of the critically acclaimed UK goth scene staples All About Eve, to perform in a beguiling duet. Adding to the cast of greats behind the cover, its formidable musicianship comes courtesy of Michelle Stodart (The Magic Numbers) on bass and Cal Campbell (Beck) on drums, with its searing guitar licks added by Tom White.
Recorded at BR Studios UK, all tracks were produced, arranged and written Le Cygne Noir (with the exception of “Doctor Doctor”), with additional mastering by James Bacon @ Piano Recordings.

Sun-soaked alt-pop group Rikas today share the single and accompanying video for “My Bench”. The track is the latest single to be taken from the upcoming Goodbye Sunshine EP, and arrives with lashings of light funk chops and bright harmonies.
Amongst slide guitars, opened-tuned 12 strings, backward tape effects and a generous touch of reverb “My Bench” delivers subtle melancholy amongst a warm audio hug. For Rikas’ bassist and vocalist Sam Baisch, the lyrics of “My Bench” serves as both an exercise in catharsis and a mantra to aspire to. He explains, “these lyrics are the opposite of the life I’m living right now. They’re a reminder to enjoy the moment and relax. Everybody is working so hard and I think we’ve gotta let go in some way.”
Staying true to the Latin infused rap style we have grown to know and love from rising Midlands artist K Harrison, his newest sound of summer ‘Veneno’, is the perfect continuum from previous singles, ‘Love Me Leave Me’ and ‘Fire Fire’.
Bringing the true chilled sounds of summer, ‘Veneno’ provides laid-back beach vibes, with a soundscape created through soft guitar, sultry, yet upbeat vocals and the classic sounds of Latin America, the track undoubtably transports you to golden sands and turquoise waves. The dream summer.
STREAM/DOWNLOAD: K HARRISON – VENENO
The heatwave in Britain may be seemingly coming to a close, but K Harrison is sure to inject a dose of heat into the music scene with his accompanying Veneno music video. Set in a peaceful yet edgy coastal home location, the video captures achievable summer fun, while still featuring classic luxuries we have come to recognise in today’s rap scene.
K Harrison might only have a few tracks under his belt but has already wowed in the world of rap, not only in the UK but has become increasingly popular across the pond. With monthly Spotify listeners spanning all across the US, from LA to The Big Apple. Not to mention being co-signed by illustrious US rapper, The Game. It’s clear to see this Derby born star means business.
Brooklyn-based, Metro-Detroit-bred singer-songwriter, Charlie Burg, shares dynamic single “Ooh! Sumthin‘ New” out everywhere now ahead of his debut LP, Infinitely Tall, due out August 19 available for pre-order now via FADER Label. In support of the album, Burg will hit the road this fall across the EU, UK and North America from September through November. Get tickets now via charlieburg.world/tix. In celebration of the (oo! sumthin’) new single, get a limited edition t-shirt in collaboration with Everpress now here.
“Ooh! Sumthin’ New,” is a bright groove where Burg introduces a protagonist who craves a change of pace–new surroundings, new people and more than anything, authenticity. The upbeat instrumental is juxtaposed by lyrics that critique the world around him, namely, the damaging effects of social media, and the world these apps fabricate. Over mellow guitar, he sings, “Let me hang out with your friends / These industry players always playing pretend / You’re an artist, and you look great / But your Instagram’s not a personality trait.”
Burg explains the track, fitting in with themes of the forthcoming project, “…simultaneously celebrates and laments the rootlessness of youth. That contradiction is what this chapter is all about. A cheerful spirited instrumental is paired with lyrics of criticism and resentment. The world of social media makes the protagonist feel like a poser and a fraud, mostly because of how much they subscribe to and partake in its evils. The protagonist desperately wants a change of pace, which is ironic in the face of their desire for solid ground to stand on.”
World-renowned producer, songwriter and multi-platinum EDGEOUT/UMG/UMe recording artist, ASHBA features Italio-Colombian superstar NATYASH on his latest GDM (Guitar Dance Music) remake “Malosa.” As one of the rock industry’s most technically brilliant guitarists, ASHBA has combined multiple genres with EDM and rock-heavy guitar into one unique, explosive sound.
“My passion for house/dance music began two decades ago. When I met ASHBA and looked into his unique and creative style with his all-around talent and creation of GDM, I knew this was a new direction I wanted to dive into and take on my first management client. I always knew one day; the right opportunity would come my way and I wanted it to be special and unique. Can’t wait to break barriers with ASHBA and show the world his talents!”
– Zee Zandi
Earlier this year NATYASH released “Malosa” which became an instant Latin hit and received critical acclaim from top-tier outlets including Billboard Argentina, Univision, EXTRA and more.
“When I first heard ‘Malosa’ by NATYASH I was blown away,” says ASHBA, “I knew I had to do a GDM remake. I teamed up with JP on Da Track, taking her original vocals and created a brand new track around it. Our goal was to seamlessly combine the sounds of Latin, EDM, and rock, resulting in a unique fusion of all three genres.”
Mia Baron starts her track “Miss Emotionless” with a declaration: “I don’t have time to fake it till I make it.” From any other 14 year old, this line would feel a bit ironic but when it comes to Baron, it’s a perfect introduction to the natural talent, swagger, and drive that has helped the Toronto-based pop singer-songwriter rack up over 100,000 total Spotify streams.
Baron started singing at just 9 years old and turned professional at 11. When the pandemic halted her busy schedule as a live performer, she pivoted to releasing songs every few months with the help of her production and co-writing team Matt Kahane and Quin Kiu. With a sound shaped by artists like Madison Beer, Nessa Barrett, and The Weeknd, Baron’s pop tracks are frequently filled with stuttering beats and moody vibes and her latest feverish single “Hypochondriac” mirrors the pop-punk energy of Olivia Rodrigo. While her lyrics touch on how challenging it is to figure out who you are and what you want, Baron’s songs show that for her, the sky’s the limit.
Mattie Leon is a singer/songwriter hailing from Hamilton. A craftsman on guitar and piano, Mattie refuses to leave the past behind. His sensibilities are informed by the songwriting of the sixties and seventies. His voice, whether soaring or soulful, is his own. The result is a fresh take on a classic form; familiar but unmistakably new.
Mattie is no stranger to the road. He’s brought his music to stages across Canada, from the Atlantic to Pacific coasts. At his side is Mike Leon, Mattie’s drummer and longtime collaborator. Together, they’ve become a captivating example of the unique thing that happens when siblings perform on the same stage.
For his latest single, Mattie enlisted the help of acclaimed Canadian producer, Mark Howard. Recorded during the last gasps of winter in March 2022, Mattie, Mike, and longtime bassist, Nelson Sobral did things the old fashioned way; recording everything together in the same room. The result is “Acoustic Guitars,” out July 29th on Castlemore Records.
Vancouver musician Fynyx Nation (aka Adrian Essiet) has the perfect synth banger for your summer party mix! It’s his new track ‘God Only Knows’ and it’s streaming now on all digital streaming platforms. Listen here.
‘God Only Knows’ is the lead single from Fynyx Nation’s upcoming EP release The ColdRoom, which explores a fresh sound with a new understanding of who he is as an artist. He brings all the fun of disco and alternative pop with the added energy of synth-wave as the backdrop for his infectious melodies and thoughtful lyrics, which are definitely front and center on this track.
“‘God Only Knows’ explores themes of uncertainty, hopes and dreams in an 80s-tinged synth vibe tune,” says Adrian. “Dark yet hopeful, nostalgic yet current. A sneaky buildup that satisfies you along its ride.”
Fynyx Nation is the brainchild of Adrian Essiet’s innovative and free spirit. Adrian was born in Nigeria and raised both in Nigeria and Canada; it’s this duality that fuels his drive to blend worlds together while constantly reinventing his artistry by incorporating different musical genres into an irresistibly decadent display of unforgettable songs that move you. His debut EP The Misfit Room was released in 2019 and he’s following that up with sophomore EP The ColdRoom, out in fall 2022.
‘God Only Knows’ is available now on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, and other digital retailers and streaming services worldwide.
When Toronto based artist Sam Casey was fifteen or sixteen years old, there were a bunch of guys that she didn’t know hesitating at the top of a super high rock face overlooking the lake near her cottage. Already a force of nature, she climbed up there, walked right past them and just jumped. It was probably a fifty feet drop. Nicknamed “The General” by her family, Sam established her girl boss credentials from that point forward. “As a young female artist, I believe that many people expect certain social norms or points of view from me that I consistently disagree with or can’t provide.”
She was into music at a young age and took piano lessons like her older sisters, but never really liked it. So, she made a deal with her parents. They would let her switch to guitar if she would stay with the piano until grade six. This lead her to a music school called Beyond The Beat which had great teachers, encouraged its students to produce original music and, unusually, emphasized artist development. Quintessentially Canadian, Sam played hockey for most of her life until music eventually took over. Her team used to play her songs in the dressing room to get pumped up for the game! She loves dancing because it instantly changes peoples’ moods.
How do you act like everything is normal when you can see through the charade? Sometimes you meet someone who is unwilling to acknowledge the truth, but it’s so uncomfortable that you just put up with it and let them keep pretending.
“Know I Know” is about that situation, where you are being fed a sugar coated version of the truth, and how to start thinking for yourself. It’s about going for independence, rebellion and challenging the norms.
Listen to “Know I Know” out now on streaming platforms everywhere.
play it along like the same old song
The Video for this song depicts a protagonist who just seems to be having a real bad day. They’re on a quest that begins with a bike lock that just won’t open, visit a friend who isn’t around and just can’t seem to find what they’re looking for at the convenience store. It’s about being frustrated and confronting the difficulties you encounter.

EDGEOUT Records and The Revelries are excited to share “Family,” the latest release in a string of anthemic pop-rock guitar-driven song releases via EDGEOUT Records.
The Revelries began as the brainchild of the 24-year-old Monroe, Louisiana-bred vocalist/guitarist Beau Bailey in his dorm room during the fall of 2016 at Louisiana State University. They worked to transform their band into its own version of high-energy, U.K.-style Pop-Rock performing to audiences in local Baton Rouge dive bars to private events to venues across the Southeast.
In January 2020, The Revelries signed a development deal with EDGEOUT/UMG/UMe and entered into their program THE STUDIO where they recorded their first full-length album with GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Matt Wallace (The Replacements, Faith No More, Maroon 5). The band’s major-label debut is scheduled for release later this year.
EDGEOUT focuses on the development and curation of young mainstream rock bands and artists that will be the future rock movement in the music industry.

Indie singer-songwriter Stephanie Hatzinikolis is thrilled to release her new single “One More Time” that is out now.
Stephanie says, “One More Time” is a melancholic internal realization about a toxic relationship , purposefully left open to be interpreted as either romantic or platonic. The singer receives a drunken phone call at midnight from the selfish friend, and reluctantly stays up listening to this always taking but never giving person, who is represented by a loud and unsteady guitar in the song’s bridge. The disappointment and frustration that the singer experiences reflects the typical push and pull dynamic that is commonly present in unhealthy bonds.”
.
Hailing from Spokane, WA and currently based in Los Angeles, Stephanie Hatzinikolis is an up and coming Indie Pop Rock artist/songwriter with a penchant for writing infectious tunes and relatable narratives. Inspired by acts such as Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens, and The Beatles, Stephanie’s music journey began at a tender age playing piano and she eventually started performing live towards the end of high school. Being an avid storyteller, Hatzinikolis draws inspiration for her music from her personal experiences, demonstrating an exceptional ability to invoke strong emotions in people through her writing. Stephanie also seems to have a unique innate competency to ingeniously present music in multiple styles, all while maintaining a consistent brand; one of the factors that make this artist one to keep an eye out for. Set to release her third single, “One More Time,” from her upcoming 2022 EP, Stephanie Hatzinikolis seeks to positively influence society with her music and inspire others to cultivate self- love and healing. Produced by Greg “Killah” Cortez, with Nico Barouhas contributing the guitar solo.
MONTE was formed by singer and lead guitarist, Caitlin Montclare in 2017, later adding drummer and audio engineer, Ismael Baiz, and bassist Meghan Rose to the official line- up. Since becoming MONTE, the band has released several singles, two EPs and performed more than 50 shows throughout the United States, including renowned New York venues such as “The Knitting Factory” and “The Bowery Electric”.
MONTE is influenced by a lot of bands from the late 80’s and early 90’s such as punk bands The Lunachicks, NOFX, Bad Religion, The Offspring and metal bands like Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Plasmatics. Montclare takes an old school sound and puts her own spin on it with the band adding interesting chord changes, riffs, and song structure. Drummer, Ismael Baiz likes to call this “The MONTE pocket”
Before joining forces in late 2019, the two creatives were on entirely different paths. After years of bouncing from city to city working different music industry jobs and one near-death experience, Rochester’s Enjel settled in LA as a solo artist and songwriter/producer/vocalist. After briefly exploring the world of cinema and directing, LA-native TAS grew into a songwriter/producer who experienced behind-the-scenes success. Individually they both wrote, produced, and engineered for notable artists like Selena Gomez, Meg Thee Stallion, the Ying Yang Twins, Cee-Lo Green, YG, Zedd, Eminem, Quavo, Bahari, and more. Although grateful for their careers to take off as writers and producers, they longed to create something more meaningful for themselves.
When their paths finally crossed at Rock Mafia’s Santa Monica studio, the mutual respect and chemistry was palpable. CLOUDxCITY was essentially born from the 2020 pandemic where the pair had nothing but time to develop this new partnership. The kindred spirits used their unique yet complementary energies to construct a hypnotic fusion of hip hop, electronic, and dark pop sonics that they have coined “existential hip hop.” Mysterious but not brazen, futuristic but not detached, provocative yet still welcoming and relatable – that’s what you can expect from CLOUDxCITY both on and off the stage.
The dynamic duo now readies for their 2022 debut project, entirely crafted by the vast minds of TAS and Enjel alone.
