Hulu has released the trailer for it’s latest rom-com called ‘Rosaline’, starring Kaitlyn Dever as Romeo’s bitter ex-girlfriend. The film will debut October 14. Described as a comedic retelling of the famous Shakespearean tale, “Rosaline“, it will be directed by Karen Maine from a screenplay by Scott Neustadter, and based on the novel “When You Were Mine” by Rebecca Serle.

“The film is a fresh and comedic twist on Shakespeare’s classic love story Romeo & Juliet, told from the perspective of Juliet’s cousin Rosaline (Dever), who also happens to be Romeo’s recent love interest,” reads the synopsis. “Heartbroken when Romeo (Allen) meets Juliet (Merced) and begins to pursue her, Rosaline schemes to foil the famous romance and win back her guy.”
