Born out of a day’s writing with Kimmie Rhodes and Mindy Smith, ‘Walk You To Heaven’ is a beautiful and comforting goodbye to a loved one. It serves as the closing track on the upcoming album and showcases Beth’s talent of conveying difficult emotions in a beautiful melody. ‘We were talking about the depth and beauty of the songs written by John Prine and his body of work and how exquisitely simple he could be while also bringing us to such a rich place with his lyrics,’ says Beth. ‘He had just passed not long before the day we were writing this song and we sent up an invitation to Heaven for him to feel free to send down any hints on how to write it.’
As for ‘The Universe’, another song written with Kimmie Rhodes, Beth describes it as ‘“Jumpin Jack Flash” meets Tom Petty on “The Last Train to Clarksville”’. This blistering blues rock track hurtles along as it takes a look at our world and beyond. The chaotic musicality of it matches with the scale of its themes: ‘It was just such a big idea and it covered so much territory (thus the title). It’s about what we’ve done to the earth and the way that the earth so brilliantly operates from the center of its own deep wisdom and how its creatures (including us) are “trapped in the forces and synchronistic consequences of the universe.”’ – Beth
Produced by the celebrated 5-time Grammy Award winner Ray Kennedy (who’s worked with everyone from Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle, and Shania Twain, to John Mellencamp and Taylor Swift) ‘Walk You To Heaven / The Universe’ is the third release from ‘CrazyTown’ following previous singles ‘With Time’ and ‘Hey Girl (We Can Deal With It)’. The new album, out this September combines elements of classic rock, blues and pop to great effect. It’s a deeply personal collection, exploring themes of navigating the ups and downs of life and love, but, as with all Beth’s albums – still with plenty of light at the end of the tunnel.

Canadian singer-songwriter Blair Lee releases “Peachy World” and announces her debut EP The Puppy Game – set to arrive on December 2. A tale of the world you create in your head versus reality, this new single is a means of trying to convince yourself everything feels “peachy” even when feeling cast aside. Produced by close collaborator, ModMaxx (Drake, Roy Woods, Tinashe) this is the second taste of Blair’s upcoming debut project – Listen.

Vancouver musician Ché Aimee Dorval shares ‘Falling Under’ and announces that her new album The Crowned will be out on January 19th, 2023 via Icons Creating Evil Art, except for Canada, where it will be released independently.
‘Falling Under’ follows the release of ‘Blood Red Son’ and is the 2nd single from Ché’s forthcoming album. The track is about the sadness of watching someone you love lose themselves to addiction, but Ché wanted to convey a more positive message with the video.
“The song ‘Falling Under’ is about the pain and heartbreak of watching someone you love destroy themselves,” says Ché. “Ultimately, it’s about losing a friend to addiction. But instead of focusing on pain in the video, I wanted to shine a light on love, support, and connection. On the people who keep you afloat when you feel like you are drowning. And the importance of saving and taking care of yourself, so that in turn you can help take care of those that need you.”

Chicago, US – Action/Adventure shouldn’t be here. At least, that’s what the Chicago-based five-piece seems to think.
They’re wrong–very wrong–but that’s the overriding theme of their debut album. That’s partly why they named their forthcoming record “Imposter Syndrome”–because when the band signed to Pure Noise Records, they couldn’t quite believe it.
“For us,” says lead vocalist Blake Evaristo, “having a debut on Pure Noise is insane. Especially because, when “Barricades” blew up for us and we got all that TikTok clout, it happened during the pandemic, so we didn’t even play a show till nearly a year later. And I feel like, in that time, we were having Imposter Syndrome, hence the title.

To those that know Dave Brandwein as the frontman of Turkuaz, the indie-Americana/folk-rock music of Band For Sale might seem like a radical change. But to the multi-instrumentalist and producer, the upcoming album, Sleeping Sun, Waking Moon, represents a return to his musical roots.
“This album is who I’ve always been deep down,” Brandwein explains. “I grew up on The Beatles, Paul Simon, Jackson Browne, and the other classic sounds of the 60’s and 70’s… The truth is that Turkuaz was the departure.”
The last ten years have seen a flurry of change for Brandwein. He got married and got divorced. He got sober, drunk, and sober again. He oversaw the growth of Turkuaz, the nine-piece funk band he’d fronted since college, into an internationally touring powerhouse sharing the stage and collaborating with legends like The Talking Heads’ Jerry Harrison and Adrian Belew. Finally, in the fall of 2021, he saw Turkuaz disband, halting upcoming tour dates and bringing the band’s future into question. It was at that point when he moved from Brooklyn, NY, to Los Angeles, California, seizing the opportunity to assess his past accomplishments and the uncertain future that lay ahead, a chance to clean out his closet and start fresh.
Music has taken Moonlight Jones to many corners of the globe and from coast to coast in the United States. A self-taught guitarist, he was fascinated with how easily music could open up whole worlds of creativity and inspiration. He promptly learned as much as he could from every musician he knew in his hometown of Tampa, Florida and set off on his musical journey.
Born to an Egyptian father and an American mother of Czech heritage, MoonLight Jones’ introduction into the world of music was wide ranging and has influenced his musical style ever since. Latin, Middle Eastern and World music was always playing in MoonLight Jones’ household, as was Blues, Bluegrass, Asian, and Folk music.
The sound of the flamenco guitar in particular inspired him to move to Spain and learn as much as he could about the style while living and studying in Barcelona and Granada. Trips to Puerto Rico, Cuba and Colombia further opened up his world to the rich musical cultures of those countries and many others.
His professional music career started in Los Angeles, CA. His first job in L.A. was working for famed graphic designer Kyle Cooper, in Malibu. Shortly after, Jeff decided to pursue sound engineering to round out his growing musical experience. Whilst working with many local bands he got an opportunity to tour with the 100 Monkeys, which was “Twilight” alum Jackson Rathbone’s band and headlined shows at The Whiskey-A-Go Go, The Mint, The House of Blues on Sunset and The Viper Room, to name a few. He also produced hip-hop for The Jugernox, with Scott “The Scientist” Coslett and Jerry “J-Strong” Armstrong for artists like James Jr, a Memphis rapper and also H-Town rapper, Rock.
Moonlight Jones’ love of film music eventually landed him a job with Heitor Pereira, famed film composer, who had a studio at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Studios in Santa Monica. Moonlight Jonesalso lived in Nashville, TN. where he plied his trade in Southern Rock band, Suthurn Swaggur, with the talented lead vocalist and lyricist, Joseph Dawson.
More recently, he moved back to Florida, this time to Miami, where he began working with local Haitian artists, Claude Cajuste of Gemini All-Stars fame, and rapper/singer Purple Gorilla. Together, they formed the group Echo N Dream and have played shows all over Miami.
In 2021, Moonlight Jones teamed up with International recording artist and producer Nino Valentino. Together they created a unique genre of music called “Cosmic Soul” which is a blend of Flamenco music, R&B and Rock. When asked why they chose the name “Cosmic Soul” Moonlight Jones responded, “Through our music we want to connect with our fans on a universal level, that’s what Cosmic Soul is all about. Connecting with each other using our music as the vehicle”. Moonlight Jones just released his debut single, “Hot Night”, written by Moonlight Jones and produced by Nino Valentino and recorded at Mambo Cat Studios owned by Grammy-winning Trumpet Player Dante Vargas. The song also features the amazing vocals of Karina Iglesias, a Miami native and finalist on “The Voice”. The track was then mixed by Grammy winning engineer Sean Moffitt and mastered by Grammy winning engineer Joe LaPorta.
Hailing from the barrier islands of South Carolina, Andrew Christopher Rutherford Royal has a deep connection with the land and embodies a non-traditionalist’s interpretation of the eastern South. He writes Southern Gothic cameos which he weaves into often dark, Indie Americana. After writing and curating the works for an album he records and mixes the music for Rutherford Royal (as well as other artists) in his remote cabin studio overlooking a hidden waterfall in southern Tennessee.
Indie pop singer MARIS released her first music video for her debut single, “Heavenly Bodies.” “Heavenly Bodies” is the first of several upcoming releases leading to her EP, expected early 2023, via Black House.
“Heavenly Bodies” was co-directed by MARIS and Caro Knapp (Olivia Rodrigo, Fergie, Adobe X Netflix). What was originally a vision that MARIS had laid out on a PowerPoint presentation is now brought to life with the help of Caro.
MARIS says, “Making the music video for ‘Heavenly Bodies‘ was the manifestation of years’ worth of dreaming. From the time ‘Heavenly Bodies’ was just a demo, I had massive ideas for what the visual world could be. I’ve made a few different PowerPoints, then wrote out a rough shot list, which my co-director, Caro, ironed out and added her film expertise to.”

In making the video, thuy wanted to highlight four strong women in entertainment whose careers require them to be at the forefront of the public eye. Although they may appear to have it all together, even the strongest women battle self-doubt and insecurities.
thuy shares, “It was important to showcase these women in their element in hopes that other people can see themselves in these women and hopefully find strength through that. Even the strongest people cry and it’s not a sign of weakness and that’s essentially what I’m trying to say through the song.”

Set at the frenzied speed of 165bpm, “Burn Bundy Burn” lurches out of the stereo like Squeeze having a stab at “Bat Out Of Hell” while dialling up the fear factor to 11. A track finds the infamous Ted Bundy taking the mic for a musical exposé of his crimes and eventual demise, it sets the scene for five tracks of rule-breaking rock to come from Le Cygne Noir.
Featured on the ‘Death & Consequences’ EP, his latest release was written in 2020 during the dark days of lockdown when just about the whole nation were having trouble facing their own demons, let alone those of others. Finding himself possessed by supernatural forces during that most perverse of periods, Le Cygne Noir was drawn into murky mindsets of some of the world’s most notorious serial killers. As he remembers:
“I was writing at the piano and kept feeling a tap on the back, I was initially scared to death, I could feel a strange dark force feeding me words which I wrote down’ and decided to embrace it and use it. It was all I had. Sometimes inspiration can come from a strange place, and this was quite intense to say the least.”
Newcomer Natsuma’s new single “Miss You” makes for an exciting first glance at the latest British prodigious talent to emerge from BRIT school. This single, like her forthcoming debut EP “Oops” out November 4th, soundtracks her raw fragility to songwriting. The entire EP was written and produced by Natsuma alone in her shed during the pandemic, fully embodying a true DIY artist with an ability to connect to a broad range of audiences with her unique sound that blends soul and indie-pop together exquisitely.
Speaking about “Miss You” its meaning, Natsuma said “It wasn’t initially written about anyone or anything. How it started out: I’d just got this gorgeous vinyl warp plugin and I played some piano chords through it. I love the nostalgic vibe it gives. I then added the electronic drums and the ‘feathery’ sub-bass). I was in a sentimental mood for some reason so I got my mic out and spontaneously recorded vox to sketch out some ideas. The first verse just flowed out and most of the lyrics surfaced from that first improvised vocal. This song came so easy to me even though at the time I’d never really experienced a proper breakup or heartbreak – (however this song would foretell a situation I was in a bit later which I find a little spooky) – manifestation through music.”

The accompanying “Wildflower” music video was directed by Brenton Giesey and shot in Nashville, TN. “The music video landscape was so pretty and so fitting for the song itself considering there were so many flowers all around me,” Thomas adds. “I loved being able to portray that song through physical imagery.”
