Rihanna is back with new music, nearly seven years after dropping her album Anti. Her latest song called ‘Lift Me Up’, is her contribution to ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’. The track serves as a tribute to the life of the late Chadwick Boseman, the star of the first Black Panther movie.

Director Ryan Coogler spoke about Rihanna’s involvement in the project;

“Honestly, I think it was Chad,” he said. “A lot of improbable things needed to happen for it to come through and Rihanna was very clear that she did that for him.”

Lift Me Up has been co-written by Rihanna, Coogler and Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems.
