The popular 90’s video game, which I was a huge fan of as a kid, ‘Streets of Rage’ will be a feature film adaptation, officially landing in the palms of Lionsgate films. The movie, which is set to be penned by writer Derek Kolstad (John Wick), and be produced by Kolstad alongside Sega’s Toru Nakahara and dj2 Entertainment’s Dmitri M. Johnson.

“When Dmitri first mentioned the idea of cracking a Streets of Rage movie, I was so immediately freaking in. And to play with Sega? The ten-year-old me is still grinning,” said Kolstad in a statement.

Streets of Rage‘ centers around a group of ex-cops who use their fists to take on a crime syndicate. I have to admit I can’t wait for this one!
