Amazon Prime Video is set to buy the rights to a sequel of the action film starring Liam Neeson, ‘The Ice Road’. The sequel, which will be called Ice Road 2: Road To The Sky, will see Liam Neeson return to star in the lead role. No word on the story or who else will star in it, but we do know it’s quite close to Amazon acquiring the rights.
In the sequel we will see Neeson reprise his role as Mike McCann, who “While on a packed tour bus traversing the deadly 12,000 ft. terrain of the infamous Road to the Sky, McCann and his mountain guide encounter a group of Nepalese mercenaries and must fight not only to save themselves and the busload of innocent travelers, but also the local villagers’ homeland,” reads the synopsis for the film.
