Sophie Thatcher is best known for starring as young Natalie Scatorccio in Showtime’s psychological drama series Yellowjackets, and for her appearance as Drash in The Book of Boba Fett. In 2018, she made her big screen debut in the American science fiction film Prospect. She was always driven from a young age, making her acting debut as a four-year-old when she played a munchkin in a community theatre production of The Wizard of Oz.

Now 22, Thatcher is a standout in Showtime’s popular series ‘Yellowjackets’ playing Natalie Scatorccio, and also currently can be seen in the supernatural horror movie based on Stephen King’s short story, ‘The Boogeyman’.

In The Boogeyman which is based on Stephen King’s short story of the same name, follows a man’s visit to a psychiatrist after suspecting that his children were killed by the boogeyman. Thatcher plays Sadie Harper, the teenage daughter of Will and older sister to Sawyer. This role has earnt Sophie the title of horror newest “Scream Queen”, and she steals the lime light in this film. Between both ‘Yellowjackets’, and now delving into big screen feature films, Sophie has set herself up for a bright future in Hollywood.

Thatcher initially saw a future on Broadway, but screen roles came calling after she appeared in local TV adverts and a 2016 episode of Chicago P.D., a cop show shot in her hometown. She also has a strong passion for music, and wrote and recorded her own songs that she uploaded to Bandcamp. Fans complimented her on her great voice, but she took down many of her self-made tracks soon after Yellowjackets brought them to a wider audience.

In an interview with NME she explained her reasoning; saying they were just “too vulnerable” and “DIY” for people to hear. “But I make music pretty much every day – music is my number one,” she added. “And I think I’m going to try to finish up some new songs and release [them]. But I want to try to get my music to less of a DIY place first because I want, maybe, to be taken seriously [as a musician]. I’m not sure yet.”
