Luca Guadagnino Set To Direct HBO’s Upcoming Series ‘The Shards’

Director Luca Guadagnino will be directing the HBO series adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’s book entitled The Shards. It has been revealed that Guadagnino will be directing the series, which will be made up of three seasons, each with 10 episodes. Bret Easton Ellis will write the series.

“Seventeen-year-old Bret is a senior at the exclusive Buckley prep school when a new student arrives with a mysterious past.” reads the synopsis. “Robert Mallory is bright, handsome, charismatic, and shielding a secret from Bret and his friends even as he becomes a part of their tightly knit circle.”
