David Oyelowo To Lead Disney+’s Reboot of 1991’s Superhero Film ‘The Rocketeer’

According to The Wrap, Writer-director Eugene Ashe has signed on to pen the upcoming Disney+ reboot of 1991’s superhero film The Rocketeer. The project was announced two years ago and will still star David Oyelowo as the infamous hero. He will also be producing alongside his wife Jessica Oyelowo.

The original 1991 film was based on a comic book character of the same name. It followed the story of a stunt pilot named Cliff Secord, who becomes a superhero after finding a prototype jetpack.
