After over three years it has been officially announced that Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will get it’s own television adaptation, and is in the work at Amazon MGM Studios. Veena Sud will serve as the showrunner. The television reboot has been in the works since 2020, but no show runner had been established at that point.
A novel series dubbed the “Millennium Trilogy,” Larsson first released the first installment in 2005 and has since then spawned two sequels, such as The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest. They we’re also turned into popular films, both Danish and American versions.
This new series from Amazon, Variety reports that it will be a standalone story about Lisbeth Salander.
