INsiders Guide: Chloe Stroll, Neck Deep, Levitation Room, Alien Ant Farm, Jazmin Bean, Greyson Zane, MANY EYES…

rising singer-songwriter Chloe Stroll released a beautiful rendition of GRAMMY Award-winning singer Billie Eilish’s “My Future.” Stream/download the cover HERE and watch Stroll’s jaw-dropping performance in the official music video HERE.

Originally written by Eilish and producer Finneas, Stroll put her own spin on the track, maintaining a slowed down cadence throughout. The song is one of her favorites, and with the lyrics, she saw an opportunity to bring a different perspective to what the song represented.

The accompanying music video features Stroll belting the lyrics in a stunning black gown for a sonically impressive stripped-down performance, giving her prominent vocals the opportunity to shine.

Chloe Stroll is a songwriting force whose earnest and raw storytelling, sparkling vocals, and melancholia-laced pop captivates listeners and offers us all a place of solace, healing, and ultimately, hope. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Chloe developed an unwavering passion for music, writing her very first song at the tender age of seven. While she went on to work on other ventures, music remained a constant gravitational force, tugging at Stroll’s heart and mind. Now, Chloe is embracing the singer she has always aspired to be and writing the profound songs that capture her life experiences. “My Future” is one of many soul-stirring tracks she has poured her heart and soul into, embodying a life where music perpetually takes center stage.

UK rock band Neck Deep have released their highly-anticipated self-titled album via Hopeless Records. Featuring previous singles “We Need More Bricks”, “It Won’t Be Like This Forever”, and Take Me With You”, the band’s fifth studio album encompasses everything Neck Deep have excelled at across their career, enhanced and dialed to eleven. From the bouncing bombast of “Dumbstruck, Dumbf**k” and the ripping intensity of “Sort Yourself Out”, to the poetic introspection of “They Don’t Mean To (But They Do)”, Neck Deep is an album that boasts a song for almost any occasion (including, in “Take Me With You”, the impending alien invasion).

Neck Deep is available to buy and stream now at https://ffm.to/neckdeep

We worked hard to get this album made, but we stayed true to ourselves and made the album that best represents us, from the ground up,” shares vocalist Ben Barlow on the new album. “We can’t wait for everyone to hear it and feel the same way we did, and to hear these songs sung back to us in a huge year of touring.”

“It Won’t Be Like This Forever” was added to Australia’s Triple J, marking the band’s first full add on the station. The album and other singles have recently been recognized by NPRRolling Stone, Grammy.com, Alternative Press, The Noise, New Noise MagazineSPIN, and other notable outlets.

Los Angeles psych rock gurus Levitation Room offer up one more taste of their upcoming album today with “Revelations.” Like listening from underwater, the rolling fluidity of the track is punctured by the band’s signature command over a guitar, contrasted with guiding, embracing vocals – Stream. The album Strange Weather will arrive in its entirety on February 16 via ONErpm / The Reverberation Appreciation Society / Greenway Records – pre-save / pre-order on vinyl here.

On “Revelations,” the band shared, “It’s a heavy one, with nods to Black Sabbath and early Tame Impala. Definitely one for the headbangers out there.”

Southern California staples, Alien Ant Farm, have released a brand new song today called “So Cold”. The track’s title is fitting after the band’s musical hibernation. It calls to the fans who have been around since the beginning, with classic Alien Ant Farm guitar riffs leading fans into a blistering chorus. The track is taken from their upcoming album ~mAntras~ to be released April 26, 2024.

Singer-songwriter and globally acclaimed multimedia artist Jazmin Bean reveals a new single, “You Know What You’ve Done,” out now at all DSPs. This is the fourth single from their debut album, Traumatic Livelihood (Island Records / Interscope), available everywhere February 23.

This huge anthemic pop song, with a hint of rock, is an ode to heartbreak. Jazmin says “This song is about feeling remorseful, revengeful and getting payback on a lover who didn’t take accountability.”

ABOUT THE ALBUM:

What started as a 4 song EP at the beginning of 2020 blossomed into a self produced triple album by the end of last year, spanning a myriad of collaborators, including GRAMMY winning mix engineers Dave Way (Fionna Apple, Macy Gray) and Michael Brauer (John Mayer, Coldplay). While the first installment, which the band toured last year, was chalk full of rock anthems with soaring vocals and sky splitting guitar solos, echoing from sweaty small European clubs to fervorous festival audiences along the West Coast, this album sees the band experimenting with bedroom R&B and psychedelia, as well as Lyon’s maiden voyage behind the faders, mixing much of the record from his home studio Dimed Records. The result launches the band into deftly navigating uncharted waters.

King Dream’s third album “Glory Daze V,” is a magnum opus born out of happenstance and brimming with ambition. It’s a cinematic journey of an album rarely seen these days. It’s about keeping the fire burning, and the desire yearning, while empires and life as we know it crumble around us. It’s about — what it takes to stay, to support instead of seek, and the love and community we can forge when we foster instead of follow.

This collaboration is the first of its kind between Eli Brown and Layton Giordani, two dynamic powerhouses in the techno genre. “When I Push” is an auditory odyssey, commencing with a sultry vocal melody that weaves perfectly into a potent bassline. As the track progresses, it intensifies with rhythmic bass stabs, leading listeners into a captivating musical journey.

Drawing inspiration from OFFAIAH’s electrifying 2018 hit “Push Pull” on Defected, “When I Push” follows Eli Brown’s acclaimed “RIDE OR DIE” with HI-LO and a series of outstanding releases, including the sensation “Be The One,” which boasts an impressive 41 million streams on Spotify. This track further cements Eli Brown’s status as a techno titan.

Having learnt classical double bass and playing in orchestras as a child, it was in her teens that Stevie seriously felt music as a calling – when she picked up a bass guitar and was mesmerised by the sounds of Radiohead and Pixies. Hearing Esperanza Spalding’s ‘Chamber Music Society’ made her realise “Oh – that’s actually possible for a bassist!” and the seeds of her solo project began to take root.

Following the release of her debut, Stevie played Fusion Festival in Germany and has supported Nick Mulvey on his ‘New Mythology’ tour and Alabaster Deplume in Bristol. The singer-songwriter has also played as a double bassist, bass guitarist and backing vocalist for the likes of Spindle Ensemble(Top 10 contemporary classical albums of 2021The Guardian), Nuala HonanTezetaand Soma Soma. Members of many of these outfits also appear on Stevie’s own music.

Fresh off the release of their highly anticipated new single “Are We Having Fun Yet?”, Chicago pop punk trio Definitely Maybe is today sharing a brand new music video for the track. Decked out in all pink and black, “Are We Having Fun Yet?” showcases a playful performance. Fans can watch now, here: https://youtu.be/jnmA3C2_mIs.

The band shares: “This video wrestles with the question “is it more fun to actually do the thing or to watch someone else do the thing?” Is it better to let other people do the work while you witness from the comfort of your own couch with your pals and your snacks? The video is both bright and sterile, playful and minimal, fun and aggressive — just like the song.

Comedic genius Kyle Gordon has shared his newest single “My Life (Is The Worst Life Ever) [feat. Our Wounded Courtship]”, out now via BMG. Produced by Jamie Siegel (Taking Back Sunday, Patrick Stump, Dashboard Confessional), the new track harkens back to the golden days of emo – jet black hair, chipped painted nails, loud guitars, and an even louder hatred for the world. With a new music video that would seem right at home on MTV in the mid-2000’s, “My Life (Is The Worst Life Ever)” is an instant anthem that will appeal to both now-grown Warped Tour kids and casual listeners alike.
