Variety has revealed the cast of Eleanor the Great, the feature directorial debut of Scarlett Johansson. The cast includes June Squibb, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jessica Hecht, and Erin Kellyman. The film, which was written by Tory Kamen, follows the character Eleanor Morgenstein — played by Squibb — who moves back to New York from Florida in order to rebuild her life after her best friend passes away.
Not only will Johansson just be directing, she is also set to produce the movie alongside Jonathan Lia and Keenan Flynn for These Pictures. Eleanor the Great will receive a theatrical release, but the date at this stage is currently unknown.
