Director John Waters is set to start production for his latest film project, Liarmouth. It’s set to be led by Aubrey Plaza. It’s an adaptation of Waters’ 2022 novel, and will be his first feature film as director since 2004’s ‘A Dirty Shame’. Liarmouth is being spoken of as “a hilariously filthy tale of sex, crime, and family dysfunction.”
The book it’s based on synopsis reads: “Marsha Sprinkle: Suitcase thief. Scammer. Master of disguise. Dogs and children hate her. Her own family wants her dead. She’s smart, she’s desperate, she’s disturbed, and she’s on the run with a big chip on her shoulder. They call her Liarmouth — until one insane man makes her tell the truth.”
