Julia Garner has joined Josh Brolin in Zach Cregger’s new horror film titled Weapons, which will be the follow-up to the horror hit Barbarian. Garner will play a part in the interrelated multistory horror movie that is reported to be in the same tonal vein as Paul Thomas Anderson’s superb 1999 movie Magnolia.

But before she graces the screen in this film, she has been cast as The Silver Surfer in the new reboot of the Fantastic Four. Garner also has the psychological thriller Apartment 7A and Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man also on the cards. Weapons reunites the team behind the recent horror Barbarian, and was originally due to begin shooting last year, but the strikes postponed that.
