Jason Statham has signed on to star in Mutiny, a new action thriller movie directed by Jean-François Richet. Lionsgate has acquired the distribution rights. Staham is reported to be playing the lead character named Cole Reed.
“In Mutiny, after his billionaire industrialist boss is murdered in front of him, Cole Reed is set up to take the fall for the crime— leaving him on the run as he works to uncover an international conspiracy,” the synopsis for the movie reads.
Mutiny is written by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis. Statham produces the movie via his Punch Palace Productions.
