multiplatinum chart–topping global pop powerhouse Zara Larsson announces much-anticipated North American tour dates in support of her new studio album, VENUS.

Tickets will go on-sale to the general public on Friday, April 26th at 10 AM local time. Visit https://www.zaralarssonofficial.com/tour.html to purchase tickets.

Alongside the headlining trek, today Zara announces that she will join collaborator Kygo on select dates of his just-announced world tour. Zara’s run with Kygo is set to kick off on September 25th in Chicago, IL at the Huntington Bank Pavilion before concluding at the legendary Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on October 17th. See below for the full live itinerary.

Released this winter, Zara Larsson’s most recent studio album VENUS truly showcases the superstar’s elevated sound, eclectic style and unifying vision. It defines her as one modern pop’s most essential stars. The album mixes the mythic and the personal in its exploration on modern love: whether it’s channeling the celestial being itself on the title track, with a partner (“You Love Who You Love”), family (“On My Love”), your craft (“End Of Time”) or with yourself (“Can’t Tame Her”), it’s Zara’s most dynamic and fully-realized work to-date. The project was conceived by Zara with a diverse but focused team of collaborators, which proved essential to the breadth of the record and the goal of representing all sides of herself. The results are pure, unexpected chemistry: the classic-songwriting tradition of Rick Nowels (Madonna, Lana Del Rey) paired with the maximalist beats of Danja (Britney’s Blackout), or long-time London ally MNEK coupled up with Swedish duo MTHR on “You Love Who You Love.”  Notably, the album received praise and attention from the likes of Rolling Stone, Variety, Billboard, Uproxx, The Associated Press, ELLE, People and more, while she recently performed current single “You Love Who You Love” on Good Morning America and sat with Kelly Clarkson for a chat on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

rising star Eden Rain returns with her latest contribution to the indie-pop scene in the form of a brand new single titled ‘Great Nothing’. https://apollodistro.lnk.to/edenrain

Speaking on the story behind her new single, Eden Rain shares that; “I wrote Great Nothing, about the rise and fall of a frienduationship – which is a word I’ve (maybe?) made up to describe the experience of a friend confess feelings for you and everything gets all weird and messy and tangly. I feel like when Conway and I wrote this song it was like putting all my frustrations of every friendship that went off-piste or person I had liked that hadn’t liked me back, or had but at the wrong time, into a meat grinder and … out came Great Nothing. It’s like the opposite of a great love, it’s the mourning of the potential of a relationship and the confusion and the angst to put everything back where it was..  and all the sinking feelings that come with it.”

As Eden continues to grow from strength to strength, she does so with a strong sense of passion and intuition at the heart of it all. And as a compelling songstress, she relies on her rich vocals to tell the stories that have so far shaped her colourful existence.

Today’s release is the follow up single to Eden’s recent track ‘Closer’ which was an incredibly tender and heartfelt song that found support across the board in playlisting and press. ‘Closer’ was feature

The song pokes fun at them for wanting to tear me down when I’m thriving and living my best life. ‘OMG’ opened up a lot of new ideas for my upcoming album and influenced where the SOPHIE SHREDZ project is going creatively and sonically.”

I was at my lowest during this time, grappling with profound heartbreak, loss, and depression; but, from social media all you would see is that I’d signed a publishing deal, moved to LA, and was living ‘the dream.’ When I look back on this season, the only noticeable sign that I was struggling was that I had stopped smiling with my teeth.”  Keep watch as she continues to tell her story in her new project, 2019, slated to release in 2024.

Based on Chloe’s real life experience at a teen treatment program, the video paints a heart-wrenching, complicated, and powerful picture of the ‘troubled teen industry.’ “The ‘Wasted Youth’ music video is a raw look at the what happened to me when I was 16 years old,” Chloe explains. “I’m so excited to share my story with the world and I hope it can bring awareness to the ‘troubled teen industry’ by showing the residual trauma I experience. Known for her honest and relatable songwriting, Natalie is creating songs that empower and support, from infectious heartbreak anthems to up-beat tracks on love and friendships. She also doesn’t shy away from topics, speaking openly about mental health and anxiety.

Her latest single “All The Time” details the inner-monologue of a fan girl. With the chorus written in the middle of the night after Natalie had an encounter with her teenage dream idol, the track is about unrequited love for the person that doesn’t know you exist (yet). The songwriter shares, “It was the person that I believe my entire ‘type’ was formed around during adolescence.  All The Time is a song following the frustration of knowing you’d work so well together after so many years, if only they could ‘see you’, and how nobody else has ever compared to them. They are ‘the one’. No questions asked.”

Sonically the track is a fast-paced, energetic release, glowing with sexy guitars and layered, ethereal vocals and lyrics that chant, “The thoughts in my head, daydreaming in bed, I’ve read all your interviews, imagining what I say to you, so I replay our song, my teenage icon, I think you’d be into me.”

“All The Time” is accompanied by a music video that tells the story of the teenage icon fantasy directed by Eleanor Grace Hann and starring Joey Kempster as ‘Dustin’.

Nashville-based alternative pop/rock artist Kitty Coen shares her long-awaited, spellbinding debut album, HELLCAT out everywhere now with the latest track “center of the sun” where Coen learns to trust herself. Alongside the release, Coen announces a summer tour across the East Coast with alt-rock Americana musician Slow Funeral. It begins on June 13 in Greenville, SC with tickets on sale now hereHELLCAT sees Coen assert herself as a force to be reckoned with as she shines a light on the female experience and harnesses a distinct glowing fervor for life and love.

HELLCAT, the fiery, unapologetic collection by Kitty Coen, is a defiant body of work that showcases the artist’s strength, perseverance and determination through a blend of genres, confessional lyricism and unflinching honesty. The title and the album’s themes are derived from the word’s definition, and its ties to societal rejection of women deemed “witches.” Coen explains, “At one time the word ‘witch’ was not negative but was applied to women who worked in holistic medicine to heal people with illnesses. Through time, the church detested these women because it argued with divine greatness and ultimately went against the church.”

Coen continues, “They began hunting and killing any woman that fit this “description” consisting of any woman who appeared educated, attractive, tempting, or dominant in any way.” It was this attack on women that has played a role in societal stigmas against women today, and with this project, the musician intends to take back her power and empower silenced voices along the way. Coen shares, “I believe that this album shows the progression of a woman harnessing her anger and frustrations with the world and utilizing them to create magic, love and light.” Over eleven potent tracks, including a collaboration with psych-rockers The Past Lives, Coen finds hope in struggle and finds solace in her own strength.

Out today with the full collection, the stormy, swelling “center of the sun” opens the album with captivating layered vocals and a hypnotizing, simple electric guitar riff. Written four years ago at the start of the album process, Coen believes it encompasses that early energy and introduces the world of HELLCAT. Coen says, “It is ultimately a rock / dark pop anthem about following your intuition and heart no matter what trials and tribulations come your way. It’s a reminder to follow your dreams even if you end up flying too close to the sun.” The artist cites Florence + the Machine, The Black Keys and a drive through the desert from Los Angeles to Las Vegas as inspirations for the track.

Blurry Paige is a captivatingly talented multi-instrumentalist and producer whose soulful melodies and poignant lyrics have set her apart from the crowded soundscape of today. With a voice that effortlessly blends raw emotion with a subtle elegance, Blurry paints relatable stories through her music, inviting listeners on an intricate journey into the depths of her personalized human experience.

Early Beginnings: Blurry Paige’s journey into music started at an early age. As a young girl growing up in San Antonio, TX music first presented itself as a form of escape from her own personal struggles with depression, anxiety, and self-doubt. This catharsis would gradually transform itself into a lifelong passion, sharing her personal experiences with the world through melody and music. As she grew more comfortable with being uncomfortable, Blurry blossomed into a gifted songwriter and musician. Her lyrics often read like pages from her diary, revealing the innermost thoughts and feelings of a young woman navigating the complexities of life while also battling to overcome her own demons. Her powerful voice provides the backdrop, giving her audience an intimate glimpse into her emotional honesty while also inviting listeners to find solace in a shared experience.

Breaking Boundaries: As a young artist in an ever-changing industry, Blurry Paige is unafraid of pushing boundaries while challenging traditional conventions. She believes that music is a powerful platform for growth, and she uses her voice to amplify messages of empowerment and self-discovery. In a world that continually seeks to categorize and file everything away into convenient little boxes, Blurry and her music are certainly the exception.  Her music is often described as gritty yet soft, approachable yet defiantly unapologetic. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of styles and genres, she molds her influences into a message that is distinctly her own by combining raw authenticity with an almost surreal delivery.

Philanthropic Soul: Beyond her musical endeavors, Blurry Paige is a passionate advocate for using the power of music to make a positive impact. She collaborates with various charitable organizations to raise awareness and support for causes that are close to her heart. Blurry currently sits on the board of Texas Music Project (TMP), where they focus on helping children and families in need through the gift of music.

Personal Insight: When Blurry Paige is not busy creating music, she often finds inspiration in nature and art. Her impassioned commitment to authenticity and vulnerability mirrors almost all aspects of her everyday life.

Her musical journey is a testament to the transformative power of music, reminding us to be unashamed of who we are and to always stay true to self. That while sometimes chaotic, beauty can be found in the harmony of melody and emotion. She is an open book whose tattered pages and evocative storytelling leave an indelible mark in the minds of those fortunate enough to experience her artistry firsthand.

The Neighbourhood Watch’s story-driven blend of folk and indie rock clearly touched a nerve when they released their album Community Protected (2017). The album was a kind of anthology: a collection of songs about the dissolution of family, the philosophical angst of turning seventeen, and what it feels like to get a bit too high for your own good. Without any sort of label or industry support, the album racked up 10 million+ streams and became the main soundtrack for the indie film Midnight at the Paradise (2022). The DIY release laid the groundwork for the band’s future success.

They followed this release with the albums Goodbye Childhood (2019) and Lost in Bloom (2021). The records both honed in on the fear that often accompanies growing up—with songs about heartbreak, lost friendships, and the forced solitude of the COVID-19 pandemic. The albums received strong recognition, with features in the Toronto Star, blogTO, Exclaim!, and Indie88 contributing the albums’ 2 million + streams. More recently, the band’s song “20 Year Dream” was featured in a commercial for the international consulting company KPMG.

Now, the band is ready to release their fourth album: a meditation on family, illness, and loving what life gives you nonetheless.

Multi-talented producer, artist, and songwriter Little Monarch has released her latest single, “Follow Your Majesty.” The bass-driven track finds Casey Kalmenson, who performs under the moniker Little Monarch, encapsulating the feeling of putting yourself first and showing kindness to your heart. Amplified by rhythmic shakers and cascading synths, Kalmenson wrote and produced “Follow Your Majesty” completely on her own and chose to release the track on her birthday as a little gift and reminder to accept the love we truly deserve.

Multidisciplinary music & visual artist Laura Pieri presents the music video for her new single, “Daughter of Demeter” — WATCH HERE.

“Daughter of Demeter” continues to introduce the musical and visual world of Frankie, Pieri’s forthcoming 4-track EP, and the accompanying short film, out this Summer. Inspired by the story of the goddess Persephone, “Daughter of Demeter” is a mesmerizing, cinematic pop anthem.

I never really understood why I felt so connected to Persephone, the goddess and the myth. In my moments of deep despair, I always found myself calling to her energy,” Pieri explains. “This song, and video, are fantastical versions of what that feels like. They’re also a puzzle piece that fit into a larger picture of the story of a young girl coming to terms with her own self, her story, and who she is.”

The music video, which combines animation and live action, offers an empowering retelling of the Persephone story, reframing her as an ambitious, formidable character. Pieri elaborates: “The story as you know it describes her as a little girl, a victim, helpless in shaping her destiny, an innocent nymph stolen and imprisoned. Is that really how it went down? What if she wanted more than flowers? What if Hades was taken with her ambition? Impressed by her fire? She walks the gardens of Earth and her presence makes flowers bloom, but she skips, carefree, in the Underworld walking amongst the dead. She didn’t wait for anyone to rescue herShe could’ve been just a nymph, forgotten, but not Persephone. In death, she will be your queen. I like to think she giggles when she hears how the souls fear her husband, thinking: it is me who they should fear.

Nashville femmecore four-piece The Dreaded Laramie today share the anthemic power pop shredder “Life Is Funny”. From the deceptively airy intro to the crunching hooks that soon show themselves, this new single is a testament to the group’s commitment to befriend dark feelings with humor and soaring guitarmony.

The feelings at play in “Life Is Funny” swirl around an experience with a crush that led Dreaded Laramie frontwoman MC Cunningham from initial rejection to growing discomfort. She explains, “At one point, I tried to make a move, and he politely turned me down (reasonable), but then starting that night at about 3AM flooded me with a TON of very cryptic text messages, including the title, ‘Life is funny.’” She continues, “It’s very confusing to be both sad that someone has rejected you and uncomfortable with the advances he makes following the rejection. I am still friends with this person, but he texts me a lot less now, and only during business hours.”

East Nashville-based rock band Her Leather Jacket is already making a name for themselves as the spirit of the early pop-punk scene prevails in the music and the atmosphere they create. When Manny Blu (vocals) found himself in the right setting, he was finally able to create the band and the music he wanted since moving to Nashville in 2018. Blu had an open slot for a best friend, and drummer Wes Snyder was first in line. Citing such influences as Blink-182, The All-American Rejects, and All Time Low, the duo’s debut self-titled EP released in the Fall of 2023 embracing the pop-punk sound, but they’re calling 2024 their “Fuck You” Era with a chaotically epic new EP on the horizon.

The essence of HLJ: make good fucking music and have a good fucking time.
