Almost six years in the making, Normani is finally ready to show the world she’s a star. Since her group Fifth Harmony decided to go on a hiatus so that members can pursue solo projects, Normani has finally released her debut album ‘Dopamine’.
The 14-track record includes the previously released tracks “Wild Side” featuring Cardi B, “1:59” featuring Gunna, and “Candy Paint.” The album also features James Blake, who appears on “Tantrums,” and background vocals from Brandy on “Insomnia.”
“The album marks a bold, new chapter for the 27-year-old artist as she fully embraces and celebrates her sexuality, showcasing her journey into divine femininity,” according to a press release.
“I feel like [Dopamine] embodies everything I wanted to say – it feels dominant, strong, assertive – but on the flipside, there are so many layers to it. You get the highs, the lows, the thrill of it all. And it’s a little toxic, too,” Normani told Dazed in a recent interview.
