Yorgos Lanthimos’ next film is in the works, a remake of Save the Green Planet!. Focus Features has announced that Lanthimos’ upcoming remake of 2003’s Save the Green Planet! will officially be titled Bugonia. The film will star Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons.
This next film in the Lanthimos catalogue is scheduled to hit theatres November 7, 2025. So what’s it about? “Two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth,” the official logline reads.
Bugonia is written by Will Tracy. Lathimos produces the movie alongside Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe of Element Pictures, Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen of Square Beg.
