Focus Features has released new details on Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag. This new spy thriller will be directed by Soderbergh and stars Cate Blanchett and Michael Fassbender. The script for the film was written by David Koepp, who co-wrote 1993’s Jurassic Park with Michael Crichton. It’s set to be released on March 14, 2025, from Focus Features.
Starring alongside Blanchett and Fassbender are, Regé-Jean Page, Marisa Abela, Naomie Harris, Pierce Brosnan, and Tom Burke.
As well as Black Bag, Soderbergh has another movie coming out soon called Presence, which was acquired by Neon after it premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. Starring Lucy Liu, Julia Fox, and Chris Sullivan, Presence is about a family who moves into a new house only to discover that they’re not alone.
