ABC has officially ordered Shifting Gears, with Tim Allen and Kat Dennings set to star in the sitcom. Shifting Gears will follow Matt (played by Allen), who is described as “a stubborn, widowed owner of a classic car restoration shop”, whose life will soon undergo its own “restoration” process when his estranged daughter and her teenage children relocate into his house. His estranged daughter will be played by Dennings.
Alongside both Allen and Dennings, Shifting Gears will star Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Maxwell Simkins, and Barrett Margolis.
