Actress Shailene Woodley is set to star in the Janis Joplin biopic. The biopic is set to chronicle the life and legacy of American rock star Janis Joplin. Woodley will also produce the film in addition to starring.
In a statement, Woodley shared that “California meant so much to Janis Joplin — from the stoops of San Francisco to the wooden walls of Sunset Sound, the state became the stage upon which she explored not just the world of music, but the world of her vibrant humanity.”
