Sydney Sweeney is set to star in a Miramax film named Scandalous. Sweeney will star alongside Colman Domingo, who will serve as the project’s director. Not much else is known about the plot of the movie but we do know it will go into production once both Domingo and Sweeney have completed the production for the third season of HBO’s Euphoria.
Deadline reports that Scandalous is described as a “fast-tracked” drama — will chronicle the secret love affair between film star Kim Novak and singer and actor Sammy Davis Jr.. Their relationship was deemed controversial in 1957, being an interracial relationship, which were widely criticized during their time.
David Jonsson will star as Davis Jr. and Sweeney will portray Novak. Sweeney will also serve as the film’s producer.
