New Star Wars Movie Trilogy in Development

A new trilogy of Star Wars movies has been announced. Lucasfilm has made a deal with Simon Kinberg to develop a brand-new trilogy of Star Wars movies. Kinberg will write all three films and produce them alongside Lucasfilm’s. Deadline has also reported that these films may possibly be the next chapters in the Skywalker Saga.

No other details have been released at this time. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Kinberg, he previously co-created Star Wars Rebels, which ran for four seasons before ending in 2018.
