Amanda Seyfried is set to play the title role in the musical movie Ann Lee, which has mostly been under wraps. But we can now reveal some details about this film including that is has already wrapped production, and is being directed by The Brutalist co-writer Mona Fastvold.
Fastvold co-wrote the feature with The Brutalist director and co-writer Brady Corbet. Also starring in this feature film is Thomasin McKenzie, Lewis Pullman, Christopher Abbott, Tim Blake Nelson, Stacy Martin, Matthew Beard, Scott Handy, Viola Prettejohn, David Cale, and Jamie Bogyo.
The film will center on Shaker Movement founding leader Ann Lee, “who was proclaimed by her followers as the female Christ and went on to build one of the largest utopian societies in American history.”
