Four years ago, Wryn’s world shifted. It rocked, it tumbled and it turned itself inside out as theylooked inward, reassessed their trauma and began a new journey of self-discovery. Whattranspired was a moniker change to their last name, Wryn—a nod to their evolving sound butmore pointedly their transformative relationship with gender. Wryn’s life began to embody a newshape. Their reinvention, in sound and spirit, became the ethos of their new album, aptly calledShapes.OnShapes, Wryn found themself using music as a way to process their feelings of complexPTSD and trauma. “My music got better, more personal because I was able to look at myselfmore clearly and see myself as separate from my trauma.Once I could see myself separate Icould see a lot,” they said. “It’s not just about gender. That’s just one of the things that camefrom this process.”WithShapes, Wryn can also see themselves and theirwork more clearly now. “There is workbefore this that was reflective of my experiencesbut not of myself,” they said. “I am now able tosee under, through and past the causes of things.”

Molto Ohm unveils the second single and music video, “The Party,” ahead of the forthcoming debut album, FEED, arriving March 21 via New Focus Recordings. The latest offering from the audiovisual project of New York–by–way–of–Italy artist Matteo Liberatore presents his unique take on electronic music that aims to capture the fragmentation and alienation of modern life.
Following up lead single “Sponsored #1,” second preview “The Party” pulses with a captivating blend of euphoria and unease. The track subversively contrasts a dark, driving strain of uncanny EDM in its first half with deconstructed abstract minimalism in the latter, immersing the listener in an auditory landscape that feels familiar and surreal. The accompanying video amplifies this tension through iPhone screen recordings with facial recognition technology at a rave and a barrage of sponsored ads served by Instagram. The result is a haunting reflection on how modern surveillance culture fosters a pervasive sense of vulnerability and anxiety. Reflecting further, Liberatore adds: “Dancing is a right, a ritual, a resistance—but in a world where everything is for sale, even our joy can’t remain untouched by the machine.”

f there is anything Kosha Dillz is a master at, it’s managing to find a way to speak up for his side.
Since Kanye went on his first rant, Kosha dropped a diss record called Death Con 3 that reached millions of people from twitter to instagram and youtube.
When Macklemore came out last spring, Kosha responded with “Time For A Conversation” offering the fellow rapper an Israeli perspective.
On his new song “Time For A Conversation 2”, Dillz begins addressing Macklemore’s “Fucked Up.” but adds a lot more to the social commentary mix with heavy bars, including the Super Bowl protestor, Kanye and his Swastika T-shirt sale. , Horseshoe theories, as well as Elon Musk, the break of the ceasefire, and the remaining hostages in Gaza. If there is one thing for certain, Kosha Dillz continues to stand on his experience and history, having been to Israel five times since the war started, interviewing Israelis and Palestinians alike.

Wendy Eisenberg announced signing to Joyful Noise Recordings. The prolific New York City-based songwriter and guitarist’s work spans a vast range of genres–from jazz to noise to avant-rock–and their new partnership with Joyful Noise celebrates this eclecticism, covering both their solo work and a variety of other projects. Notably, this includes Editrix, Eisenberg’s acclaimed noisy indie rock trio with Steve Cameron and Josh Daniel. To mark the signing and herald a new chapter of artistic output, Eisenberg has released new single “I Don’t Miss You,” available digitally and as a lathe-cut 7″ record–limited to just 150 copies–each handcrafted at the Joyful Noise headquarters.
On the song, Wendy reflects: “This song was written during a period of my life when I was casually dating, which is a style of romance that does not come naturally to me (my tendency is to take things way too seriously for way too long). The people entering and exiting my life were fascinating and complete worlds unto themselves, and the brevity of our connections felt like the world was holding a mirror to me and breathing on it- alternately reflective and opaque. Of course I miss them. I miss everyone I’ve ever met!”

Liam St. John today released his latest single, the poignant, blues-inflected “Devil In Disguise,” featuring the alt-rock group Houndmouth. This soulful roots song is highlighted by the haunting and distinct vocals of both Liam St. John and Houndmouth lead singer Matt Myers. “Devil in Disguise” reveals passionate and deeply personal lyrics, with a stirring sound that transports listeners to the contemplative expanse of the Wild West, where the song was written and featured in the visualizer here.
“I wrote this song in the middle of the Rocky Mountains in Condon, MT,” said St. John. “Well, I didn’t really write it as much as it forced its way out of me during a time of intense introspection. The Rockies will do that to a man. It was one of the more difficult songs to write as I had never really approached the feeling that comes with comparing the man I aspire to be with the mistakes I’ve made in my life. I’m very proud of this song, and I am honored to have Matt from Houndmouth sing on it with me. I love his voice, and he brings the second verse to life in such a raw, honest and truly beautiful way.”
““The thing that struck me first about the song was how soulful it was,” says Houndmouth’s lead singer Matt Myers. “That’s something that I appreciate in any genre of music, and with that in mind, it was an easy ‘yes’ when Liam asked me to contribute to the track.”
“Devil in Disguise” is the follow-up to St. John’s debut EP, “Believer,” which “Holler” called “an evocative, rock-tinged anthem that oozes gravitas and atmospheric, weighty verses.” The “Believer” EP dug into St. John’s emotional past, exploring struggles with faith, substance abuse, difficult relationships and more. “Devil in Disguise,” the first track to be released from an upcoming collection, remains deeply rooted in authentic, intimate storytelling through an expansive sound with instrumentation nodding to Western blues–harmonica, slide guitar, and haunting harmonies.
Currently on tour with Dexter and The Moonrocks, the unlikely “Western Space Grunge” heroes of West Texas, St. John is crossing the Southeast and Midwest US through the end of February, when he’ll join ZZ Ward’s “Dirty Sun Tour” through April.
