INsiders Guide: Meg Donnelly, Aime Simone, Eden Hunter, Jack Chi & Tash Breeze, BIA…

singer-songwriter, dancer, and actress Meg Donnelly announces her highly-anticipated EP, dying art, will arrive on June 20 via Range Music. Pre-save HERE

Meg has also released a new single off the record, “dancin’ around,” the track shows Meg’s more playful side, serving as a euphoric reflection on femininity, spiked with glittering synth – Listen HERE and watch the official music video HERE. The production of “dancin’ around” was inspired by America’s “You Can Do Magic” and Meg’s love for the groovy, soulful and fun ‘yacht rock’ genre.

Of the single, Meg states, “’dancin’ around’ is my yacht rock-filled fantasy! I had the most fun making this record. The concept is all about dancing around feelings – being in a summer fling that’s maybe getting a little too serious… where you know that if either of you says it out loud, it’ll suddenly feel all too real. It’s definitely something I relate to, especially after experiencing a summer fling in the heat of New Orleans – a funky, eccentric city full of music and dancing. It’s super relatable, made for singing at the top of your lungs and dancing your heart out.”

Tonight, Meg was revealed as one of the three finalists on Fox’s hit competition series The Masked Singer. From wowing the judges with her vocal control on classic hits like “Mad World” by Tears for Fears to turning up the energy on fan-favorite rock songs like Paramore’s “Ain’t It Fun” and Avril Lavigne’s “Sk8ter Boi,” Meg proved her unstoppable range as an artist under the disguise of her character Coral

dying art is a wildly fun, deeply personal portrait of finding your way in a fast-changing world. To further explore the EP’s thematic principle, Meg releases a series of audition tapes and confessionals chronicling a journey of auditioning several versions of herself throughout her early 20s. Blending satire and parody with absurdist comedic elements, the dying art Audition Tapes offer a playful yet sharp take on the grueling process Meg endured to break into the industry. Watch the “dancin’ around” audition HERE.

Meg can also be seen starring in the forthcoming Disney film ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires, the latest installment of the music-fueled, smash-hit ZOMBIES franchise. The official teaser reunites Meg with co-star Milo Manheim as beloved zombie-cheerleader power couple Zed and Addison. The Disney Channel Original Movie will premiere Thursday, July 10, at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Disney Channel and stream globally the next day, Friday, July 11, on Disney+.

The news follows Meg’s latest releases off the EP, the dance-pop single “close 2 me,” – crafted alongside GRAMMY-nominated visionary Jon Bellion, who co-wrote and produced the record with Tenroc (Reneé Rapp, Jon Batiste, Jonas Brothers) – “picky,” and TikTok-viral track “in my bag.”

Earlier this year, Meg had an eventful New York Fashion Week, attending Kim Shui and Collina Strada shows among various branded events. Widely celebrated for her standout performances in Disney’s Zombies film series, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and The Winchesters, Meg joined the Range Music roster last October, marking an exciting new chapter in her multifaceted career.

Taken from his critically acclaimed new album REV, Aime Simone unveils the gripping visual for his latest single, “GORE MODE.” Shot in Bagnolet (93)—the Paris suburb where Aime both lives and works—the video reflects a raw and personal backdrop, perfectly framing the story at the heart of the track. Aime takes on the role of a vengeful protagonist, a central figure in the album’s unfolding mythos, embodying themes of transformation and reckoning.

The video is co-directed by the visionary Vitalii Akimov—celebrated for his work with Kanye West, Eartheater, Rich the Kid, and Swedish House Mafia—alongside the creative collective No Start No End, known for their experimental and immersive visual storytelling.

Marking a sonic evolution, REV showcases Aime’s unique blend of genres, incorporating elements of witch house, rap, and punk, while staying rooted in his distinctive “post-pop” style—a hybrid genre developed with his partner and creative collaborator, Sonja Fix. The duo’s sound fuses electronic and trap influences with the structure and soul of classic pop songwriting.

With REV now released and a headline show announced at L’Olympia on November 20, Aime is cementing his place as one of the most captivating voices in the global pop landscape.

“Knock Me Out” is the first single of a new project that I have been trying to make for a long, long, long time. It is my love letter to Hollywood that I wrote during a trip to Los Angeles that truly changed my whole perspective of who I am and what I want. I have always been somebody who indulges in the romance of life, the theatrics of the highs and lows and how main character it feels, which can be wonderful or it can be really heavy, hard to shake and distracting from what is actually happening to me. I owed myself honesty and the opportunity to heal and for some reason it felt easier allowing this to happen ‘across the Atlantic Ocean’ far away from anything or anyone I knew. As dramatic as it sounds, the reinvention was a hit of reality that knocked me out and became a period of my life I wanted to capture and keep forever for when I need reminding to ‘punch a little higher’. I will die trying and Knock Me Out is the soundtrack to that story.” – Eden Hunter

Built on emotionally charged pop, the track delivers a powerful message of resilience and strength. Eden’s signature mix of theatrical flair and polished pop sensibilities makes her a standout voice in today’s scene.

Brighton-based producer, beatmaker, and multi-instrumentalist Jack Chi teams up with London R&B vocalist Tash Breeze on their new single Rose Tinted Glasses. Blending captivating spoken word, atmospheric vocals, and experimental production, the track showcases the best of both artists’ talents, resulting in a genre-blurring, truly distinctive sound.

Rose Tinted Glasses dials things back. Spacious and hypnotic, this track lets the beat drift in and out, while gospel-styled backing vocals and sophisticated jazz Rhodes create a sound that feels both timeless and fresh.

This single is a strong introduction to a standout collaboration with a whole heap of potential. Tash Breeze and Jack Chi are two artists carving out their own lane, and if this is just the beginning, the road ahead looks pretty damn exciting.

“The lyrics come from her experience of being a ‘perfectionist’ and searching for this idea of a ‘perfect world’ only to realise it doesn’t exist. The ‘grass is always greener’ perspective stunts the growth of optimism and we must be motivated to face doubt without allowing hindsight to cloud our vision. We must continue to move forwards to allow our dreams to flourish into our reality.” – Tash Breeze

“The beat is typical of my style. Laid back atmospheric lofi production, layering swung out, dusty hip hop drums and percussion with twinkly Rhodes and subtle syncopated brass stabs. Combining with intermittent pitched vocal chops and sprinkles of glassy jazz guitar, the instrumental creates a dreamy hypnotic soundscape to underpin Tash’s lyrical imagery.” – Jack Chi

Canadian producer Rezz and elusive duo Chuurch have unearthed their anticipated collaborative single ‘Telepathy’ out now via HypnoVizion

Recently rinsed during Rezz’s sold-out debut PORTAL show in the Bay Area, ‘Telepathy’ is another fan-favorite and hit from the archives. First created nine years ago and only heard as a live ID, ‘Telepathy’ embodies the kinetic energy of the dancefloor. Tension swells with ominous vocal samples as the track unfolds with eerie synths and grimy basslines locked in a wayward call and response. Fueled by nearly a decade of honing their distinctive signature sounds, ‘Telepathy’ is a crystallization of Rezz and Chuurch’s evolved creative instincts and unwavering sonic experimentation.

“Chuurch and I started this song like 9 years ago! After all these years, I kept thinking about it and how I still really loved elements of this song.  I decided to reopen the project, give it a fresh mix and switch out some of the bass sounds to make it bigger and bolder than ever. So stoked to give this one to the fans.” – Rezz

Executively produced by Evil Genius, alongside incendiary production from The Silhouettes Project’s Paya (ENNY, Shae Universe, Maverick Sabre), New Zealand native Ashton Stellars (Burna Boy, FLO, Denzel Curry) and more, VÄRIANT emerges as a captivating and fully-formed body of work – V.I.C’s self-assured pursuit for progression will continue to draw attention as a serious creative force in the landscape.

An enigmatic display of ambition and integrity, the powerful mixtape marks a shift in the young rapper’s artistic evolution – a richer, multi-layered sound and expressive approach that highlights his flair and deeper penmanship. Transcending any expectation of contemporary UK rap, he emerges both poignant and self-aware while exploring identity, development, resilience, and the perils of a young artist in London building foundations beyond his years.

Speaking on the mixtape, V.I.C mentions: “VÄRIANT embodies everything I’ve discovered I am – different. From the way I think to my daily routine, to how I came into music, to my early life. I’ve always felt different, always been the odd one out. I came to the UK from Nigeria at the age of 9 and was usually the only Black kid around, struggling to find identity. My journey into music has been sheer determination and learning to embrace imperfection, which I later discovered is exactly what creativity is. So, once I got to a point where I was finally confident with my pen, my skill, and my ability to tell stories, I decided to push my creativity and embrace my difference with this 5-track project.”

He adds: “I think nowadays, being different and individual is a superpower – and that’s what I hope VÄRIANT embodies. Pushing yourself into uncomfortable places to see what comes out – because what comes out is your true, unfiltered self.”

Simon Scardanelli is a London born English singer-songwriter and composer, who now lives in Brittany, France.

He enjoyed chart success in the late 80s with Anglo-Canadian duo Big Bam Boo, scoring a top 40 hit in the USA & Canada in March 1989 with Shooting From My Heart, prompting the duo to re- locate to New York from London. NOTE: CANCON applied at that time as the other member of the duo, Shark, is Canadian

Following the break-up of Big Bam Boo in 1991, just after they’d completed their second album for MCA, Scardanelli remained in New York, and scraped a living performing in clubs and lofts in the underbelly of New York’s Lower East Side – lack of funds found him working as a liquor runner at the infamous Save the Robots after-hours club. Despite being raided regularly by New York’s finest, Simon, a master of disguise, was one of the only employees never to be arrested! Though on one occasion an unwitting Australian tourist (the accent sounds the same to a donut-eating NY cop) was dragged downtown for an overnight stay in his place….His darkly challenging solo album Death Row Tales (1994) bears testament to the dark & dangerous lifestyle he was living on 4th St & Ave D.

A mini-album, Bed of Nails, came in 2002 and the raw guitar and voice only album Hobohemia followed in 2005, coinciding with his return to live performances, after an eleven year absence.

That Dangerous Sparkle – his cathartic post-divorce (second of three…) album  was released in 2007 and its reviews firmly established Simon’s reputation as an innovative and inventive songwriter.

Multi-platinum renowned singer and songwriter  Mariah The Scientist has released the official music video to her new critically acclaimed single, “Burning Blue,” her first new single since the release of her latest album, 2023’s To Be Eaten Alive. Mariah stars in the choreography-driven video with direction from Claire Bishara.

Star2: “I wanted to bring Luh Kel, a huge R&B talent to Thailand and introduce him to Sprite, a longtime fan. The song carries out an R&B vibe that works perfectly with Sprite’s vocals. Kel and Sprite became great friends and we all loved exploring Thai culture and food together.”
