Madonna’s highly anticipated project, Veronica Electronica, has finally been released today. This collection features refreshed edits, rare remixes, and a previously unreleased track titled “Gone Gone Gone” from her legendary album Ray of Light. The first batch of vinyl copies sold out within just an hour during pre-order, reflecting the immense fan enthusiasm. Due to this overwhelming response, a second pressing of the limited clear vinyl is scheduled for October 10th, along with the debut of a CD version. Fans can purchase both formats through Madonna.com and Rhino.com.
Veronica Electronica serves as an eight-track companion to Ray of Light, originally conceived by Madonna in 1998 as a “remix, odyssey” project. The album was named after an alter ego Madonna adopted during the creative process of Ray of Light. Although initially shelved, the project was sidelined by the phenomenal success of the original album and its chart-topping singles that dominated the music scene for over a year. Ray of Light, a landmark in Madonna’s career, sold over 16 million copies globally and earned her four Grammy® Awards, including Best Pop Album.
More than two decades later, this long-awaited project is finally coming to fruition. Veronica Electronica features newly crafted versions of classic club remixes by renowned artists such as Peter Rauhofer, William Orbit, Sasha, BT, and Victor Calderone. It also includes the original demo of “Gone, Gone, Gone,” produced by Madonna herself along with Rick Nowels.
