Emily Blunt has returned to the set of the highly anticipated sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2, sporting her signature vibrant red hair once again. The upcoming film is set to premiere twenty years after the original 2006 hit.

Recently released photos from the set showcase Blunt in a striking black-and-white outfit, reaffirming her iconic look. She is seen alongside familiar faces, including Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway as Andrea “Andy” Sachs. Blunt reprises her role as Emily Charlton, the formidable senior assistant to Miranda Priestly, a character that significantly boosted her career trajectory. Following her performance in the first film, Blunt has starred in numerous acclaimed projects such as The Young Victoria, Looper, Mary Poppins Returns, A Quiet Place, Sicario, Oppenheimer, and more.

The sequel, directed once again by David Frankel, will feature the return of key cast members like Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling, Tracie Thoms as Lily, and Tibor Feldman as Irv Ravitz. Additionally, Kenneth Branagh joins the cast as Miranda’s new husband. The ensemble also includes Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, and Caleb Hearon.

The original film follows Andy, a recent college graduate who lands a job as an assistant at the prestigious fashion magazine Runway. Her challenges begin immediately when she realizes her boss, Miranda Priestly, is an exacting and demanding editor, prompting her to reevaluate her aspirations in the fashion industry.

While plot details for the sequel remain under wraps, reports suggest it will focus on Miranda Priestly confronting the hurdles facing print media amid the rise of digital platforms.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled for release on May 1, 2026.
