Netflix has released the official trailer for Wednesday Season 2 Part 2, offering a sneak peek at the remaining four episodes of the popular mystery comedy series. The show’s return is scheduled for September 3.
The official logline describes Wednesday Addams as she “returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where new enemies and challenges await.” This season, Wednesday faces the complexities of family, friendship, and old rivals, guiding her into another darkly humorous and eerie chapter. With her sharp wit and deadpan attitude, she’s also drawn into a chilling supernatural mystery.
The trailer gives fans a look at the final four episodes of Season 2, revealing that Gwendoline Christie, known for her role in Game of Thrones, will reprise her character Larissa Weems. Interestingly, after being killed off in Season 1, Larissa returns as Wednesday’s new spirit guide. The footage also shows Wednesday’s urgent efforts to protect Enid and her family from Tyler, who is seeking revenge after escaping from Willow Hill.
Produced and directed by Tim Burton—famous for films like Beetlejuice and Corpse Bride—Wednesday is based on characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams. The main cast includes Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Emma Myers as Enid, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley, Hunter Doohan as Tyler, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Joy Sunday as Bianca, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene, and Georgie Farmer as Ajax.
Season 2 also features appearances by Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, Steve Buscemi, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Anthony Michael Hall, along with Christopher Lloyd and Lady Gaga. Notably, Christopher Lloyd previously portrayed Fester Addams in the original live-action films alongside Anjelica Huston and Raúl Juliá.
