IFC Films and Shudder have unveiled the first trailer for Good Boy, a supernatural horror film that offers a chilling twist: the entire story unfolds from a dog’s perspective. The movie, directed and co-written by Ben Leonberg, is set to hit U.S. theaters this October.
The trailer introduces viewers to Indy, a lovable pup who relocates with his devoted owner Todd to a long-abandoned family home in the countryside. But the seemingly peaceful fresh start quickly takes a sinister turn. Indy begins to sense something lurking within the shadows, catching glimpses of eerie presences and warnings invisible to human eyes.
According to the official synopsis, Indy’s loyalty to Todd is tested when ghostly visions, messages from a long-deceased dog, and hints of a tragic past tied to the house come into play. As Todd slowly falls under the grip of dark, supernatural forces, it becomes clear that Indy is the only one who can stand between his best friend and an otherworldly evil intent on claiming him.
Blending the sweetness of a loyal canine companion with a haunting tale of terror, Good Boy promises a fresh and unsettling perspective on the haunted house genre.
