The Hit List: Demi Lovato, Jessie Murph, The Chainsmokers, T-Pain, Ella Langley, Labrinth, Melanie C, Midnight Til Morning, Skylar Grey…

Demi Lovato – “Let You Go”: Demi Lovato has released a new album titled It’s Not That Deep on Friday. Along with the album, the singer, 33, unveiled a live performance video for her track “Let You Go”. The album features 11 songs, including previously released singles “Fast,” “Here All Night,” and “Kiss,” as well as new tracks such as “Frequency,” “Let You Go,” “Sorry to Myself,” “Little Bit,” “Say It,” “In My Head,” “Before I Knew You,” and “Ghost.”

Jessie Murph – “I’m Not There For You”: Genre-bending hitmaker Jessie Murph has released her new single “I’m Not There For You,” an unapologetic breakup track where Jessie reclaims her power, delivering sharp-tongued dismissal to someone who no longer deserves her energy.

The Chainsmokers – “Smooth”: Grammy Award-winning and chart-topping duo The Chainsmokers have unveiled their latest single, “Smooth,” released through Sony Music. The track begins with airy textures and gentle piano melodies, creating a reflective atmosphere before building into a euphoric drop that transforms the song into an energetic anthem. Featuring shimmering synths, crisp percussion, and a powerful driving beat, “Smooth” strikes a perfect balance between atmospheric beauty and dancefloor energy. Having been sneakily incorporated into their recent live performances, the track has quickly gained popularity and is energizing audiences nationwide.

Accompanying the release is an official music video directed by Jackson Wigger, starring Alex and Drew along with special guest Mishoo Pall. Filmed in Big Bear, California, the visual complements the song’s cinematic vibe, portraying themes of freedom and escapism. The video features scenes of windblown performances on the back of a truck cruising down an open highway, as well as carefree joyrides across the water in a speeding boat, capturing a sense of liberation and adventure.

T-Pain – “Club Husband”: T-Pain’s unreleased track, “Club Husband,” has finally been released that’s to the traction it gained on social media, with fans clamoring for an official release.

Ella Langley – “This Version Of Us”: The new season of Nobody Wants This is now streaming on Netflix, featuring a 19-track collection of original songs from artists across various genres. Among them are three of country music’s top talents: Ella Langley, Chris Stapleton, and Kacey Musgraves. Ella Langley’s contribution is a cinematic ballad titled “This Version of Us,” which she co-wrote with Jordan Schmidt, Jon Nite, and Zach Kale. The song explores a fragile hope that a dysfunctional relationship—one that only seems to work when both partners are drinking—might somehow endure if they remain unchanged, refusing to grow or move on to better things.

Labrinth – “Orchestra”: Multi-talented artist, producer, and composer Labrinth, renowned for his work on the hit TV series Euphoria, has a knack for captivating audiences. Just weeks after releasing his EP Prelude, Labrinth returns with his uplifting new single, “Orchestra.” In “Orchestra,” Labrinth explores the tension between being an entertainer and staying true to oneself. The song touches on the delicate balance of pleasing a lover while maintaining authenticity. The arrangement sounds like a real orchestra, with Labrinth playing every instrument himself.

Melanie C – “Sweat”: Mel C has announced plans to release a new album and shared the first single from the record, ‘Sweat’. The disco pop song samples Diana Ross’s 1982 single ‘Work That Body’ and channels “vintage workout video energy”.

Midnight Til Morning – “17”: This is the third track from the bands album Afterglow. “17” by Midnight Til Morning was written by Adam Yaron, Michael Gerow & Nolan Sipe.

Skylar Grey – “Be A Man About It”: A song on Skylar Grey’s third studio album, it was revealed in the private show’s setlist. Then, it was played in Skylar’s original Verizon Up ad “True Love” which was deleted. It was later reuploaded by Verizon but they changed the background song from “Be A Man” to “Shame On You”.

Skylar says about the song:

When you truly love someone, you start putting their needs and happiness way ahead of yours, so you know even that man, Elliot [Taylor, Skylar’s fiancee], would be happier without me, I’d have to let him go. And I’ll have to be a man about it.
