Apple TV has announced the release date for Margo’s Got Money Troubles, a new family drama featuring Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, and Elle Fanning.

The series’ official synopsis describes it as: “Margo’s Got Money Troubles is a bold, heartfelt, and comedic family drama about Margo (Fanning), a recent college dropout and aspiring writer. She is the daughter of an ex-Hooters waitress (Pfeiffer) and a former pro wrestler, who must navigate life with a new baby, increasing bills, and fewer ways to pay them.” The first three episodes will premiere on Apple TV on April 15, 2026, with new episodes dropping every Wednesday through May 20, 2026. Season 1 will feature a total of eight episodes. The cast also includes Nick Offerman, Thaddea Graham, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington.
Based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel of the same name, Margo’s Got Money Troubles is brought to life under the creative vision of showrunner and writer David E. Kelley. The series is produced by A24 for Apple TV, with executive producers including Fanning, Kidman, Pfeiffer, Thorpe, Dakota Fanning, Brittany Kahan Ward, Per Saari, Matthew Tinker, Eva Anderson, and Boo Killebrew.
This series marks the latest collaboration between Kelley and Apple TV. In 2024, Kelley created Presumed Innocent, a legal thriller based on Scott Turow’s 1987 novel. The show starred Jake Gyllenhaal as a lawyer accused of murdering his colleague—who was also his mistress—and received Emmy nominations for Gyllenhaal, Bill Camp, Peter Sarsgaard, and Ruth Negga.
