HBO has officially released the trailer for the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria, offering fans a glimpse of the returning characters including Zendaya’s Rue, Jacob Elordi’s Nate, Hunter Schafer’s Jules, Alexa Demie’s Maddy, and Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie. The new season is set to premiere on April 12, 2026.
According to the official synopsis, Euphoria centers on “a group of childhood friends grappling with faith, the possibility of redemption, and the nature of evil.” Created and written by Sam Levinson, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Zendaya and Drake, the series explores the complex lives of high school students navigating themes of drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship.
Season 3 will feature the return of familiar faces such as Maude Apatow as Lexi, Dominic Fike as Elliot, Eric Dane as Cal, Colman Domingo as Ali, Martha Kelly as Laurie, and Chloe Cherry as Faye. Levinson has confirmed that the storyline will pick up five years after the events of Season 2’s finale. Viewers can expect to see Rue working to settle her debt to Laurie, while Jules is now attending an art school. Cassie and Nate are now engaged and living in the suburbs, and Maddy has moved to Hollywood to work at a talent agency. Meanwhile, Lexi has become a showrunner’s assistant.
Euphoria Season 3 will also introduce a host of new characters played by notable actors such as Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Marshawn Lynch, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Kadeem Hardison, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, Anna Van Patten, Asante Blackk, Bella Podaras, Bill Bodner, Cailyn Rice, Colleen Camp, Gideon Adlon, Hemky Madera, Homer Gere, Jack Topalian, Jessica Blair Herman, Kwame Patterson, Madison Thompson, Matthew Willig, Rebecca Pidgeon, and Sam Trammell.
